I love it when I find a new author that has a writing style that grabs you and has you looking for more when it ends. I've already searched BN for more from Katy Branden with no luck. Hope more books are to come. Just fell for the characters and the dialog between the characters especially Lily and Ford. Do yourself a favor and read this little gem. Only about 46 pages on my Nook but those 46 pages pack a punch, you're going to smile, you're going to laugh and you're going to say Ahhhh. Thanks Katy for the free read, I would have certainly paid to read your lovely little tale. Please give us more.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review: This was a querky quick read. Lily just wants to make her business work but at one of the mandatory meetings for all business owners she is some how roped into having to go to the Gentry house and attempt to get the owner Ford to make a donation to their cause. Of course, that is easier said then done as every women in the town has tried a lot of tricks to get him to donate. This book tells you some of the old tricks that didn't work, shows the inner workings of Lily's mind, involves some goats, a HEA and is a full length book. There is some sex but the scenes are not graphic at all and it is really more about a person so closed off to the world finally opening up to the most unlikely of people. I had a fun time reading this short story and I would recommend it to anyone who just wants a quick fun read. p.s You do not really get to know Ford or why he is the way he is. This is all told from Lily's perspective
