Cracking the AP Spanish, 2002-2003 Edition based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
I bought this book thinking it would be a valuable resource for preparing for the AP language and literature exams. I was wrong. For Language: 1) the picture panels are not well developed and look nothing like the ones on the actual exam--which actually tell a better story. 2) there are no audio CDs to practice the listening. 3) even if you take the practice exam, this book gives you no indication as to how it is scored to figure your score. For literature: 1) the practice questions only deal with the old reading list based on 5 authors. In essence, any student who tries to write on their question about Ana Maria Matute (an author not on the current 35-author list) will be unable to. 2) Nowhere does the book even mention the new reading list. All in all, this testprep book is a waste of money. There are other resources that are better designed for student preparing for the language exam at least.
I would like to comment on this book. Overall, i was very pleased with the approach the authors used in reviewing the material. They went over all of the necessary information, but there were numerous typos and grammatical errors throughout the lessons and even on the Language Practice Test; which left me to say the least, disappointed.
