I have the 2008 version. it was not worth the money. Most of the advice is fairly elementary and irrelevant. There were also tons of gramatical, spelling, and mathamatical errors in the book and in the online program accompaning the book. I was very disappointed. On the plus side, my math skills did improve because I had to learn to check my own answers instead on just relying on the book.

I just bought this book the other day and I can't tell you how much it has improved my studying for the SAT! I struggle with Math more than anything else, and this book gives good explanations for all the answers to the practice tests, particularly those involving mathematics. It's easy to understand, and gives good test taking tips. This test is not the same as many of the standardized tests high school kids have taken in the past, so we need tips that are specific to THIS test, and not tests in general. This book has everything I wanted it to have and more, and I know I'll do better on the SATs because I bought it.

I used this book to help inner city students prepare for the SATs. I found it very useful with many helpful hints and well organized. It was accessible for students for self study. I liked the tone of the text and its clarity. I did not use the math sections in my teaching, as I only taught English (Reading and grammar).
