Peter Davies, a Viet Nam veteran, mysteriously appears at the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial Wall. Thrown into a V.A. hospital, he encounters a psychiatrist, Prescott Brown, whose life is changed by the journey he takes with Peter Davies through chaos into clarity for both of them. J. Morris Lavallee is a student of human behavior, always searching for the answers to life's questions. He is a father of three, a divorcee, a husband, a veteran, a machinist, a fabricator and a musician. Once asked how he would best describe himself, he paraphrased the song "The Pilgrim" by Kris Kristofferson: A poet, a picker, a pilgrim and a preacher, and a problem when he's stoned.
