I loved this book! Not only does the author give excellent informative and comprehensive information on what you need to begin a crafts business, but she expands on a number of resources that are pertinent to every crafter. After reading the book I checked out several of the websites and found incredible crafty ladies out there who are very professional. You can purchase any type of homemade craft there is available. The book was inspirational to say the least and I would recommend anyone who is interested in honing their craft to read it.

A good overview for anyone even thinking about doing a craft fair or selling their crafted item elsewhere. The author shares advice and practical information, from personal experience and other crafty people. Her book was easy to read and information was well organized. I got many tips and ideas I hope to put into use.

Admittedly I have not finished this book, but what I have read I have enjoyed. The chapters are laid out well. Plus, it's written in a way that gives you ample information without boring you to tears. If you love to craft, and are thinking about taking the leap into the retail world, I would recommend this reading this book.

I think this book is just a year or so out of date, but it still holds up! The author presents the material in such a concise and breeezy manner, it was truly a pleasure to read. I have been selling my crafts online for a few years now and this still had plenty to teach me!

A cute but smart guide to turning a craft hobby into a part- or full-time business. Describes the how and where of selling, instructions on legal and financial requirements, and pages of useful templates and lists of links. Dobush stresses the importance of the human connection in selling handmade items - learning from and working with fellow crafters, and responding warmly and quickly to customers. Fun little book with realistic advice, examples of crafters who turned their passion into businesses, outstanding graphics and call-out boxes and pages.

As my boss says, I'm a creative type. I'm not into the intricacies of business and I'd make a horrible accountant. So when I thought about starting to sell my crafting hobby creations, I bought a few books. This was one of the three that I bought, and the one I read first. It's not quite as detailed as a "Complete Idiot's Guide" or "Dummies" BUT it's not boring as those guides have a tendency to be. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and learned quite a bit from it. The language was simple, almost conversational, and the layout/flow of the book was smooth and logical. A great choice for someone looking to make the jump from amateur/hobby-ist to professional.
