About the Author

Casey Peeler grew up in North Carolina and still lives there with her husband and daughter.

Growing up Casey wasn't an avid reader or writer, but after reading Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston during her senior year of high school, and multiple Nicholas Sparks' novels, she found a hidden love and appreciation for reading. That love ignited the passion for writing several years later, and her writing style combines real life scenarios with morals and values teenagers need in their daily lives.

When Casey isn't writing, you can find her near a body of water listening to country music with a cold beverage and a great book.

I loved these characters, like seriously loved them. Crashing Tides is a coming age story the proves that first loves die hard and sometimes what's meant to be will be regardless of the path that took us there.

Where do I even start with this book or Casey Peeler?! Marleigh is a set of 3 who met the man of of her dreams during spring break. They thought it was love at first sight! GC De Ville was in Garden City for spring break AAU ball tournament but they both made plans to be in each other's futures. That was until Mareigh got the surprise of her life and decided to leave GC out of the plans. Fast foreword to college GC and marleigh was suppose to attend Coastal together but her plans changed leaving GC completely heartbroken. Armed with a now toddler Marleigh decides to attend college and just avoid GC, but once he sees her that's out of the question. Once the secret is revealed to GC the 2 must come together to forgive each other and get back the love they once shared! If you have not read any of Caseys books you are completely missing out! And it's a bad thing! She writes about things that could happen in true life to true loves, to grandparents raising you. Her stories make you feel like your part of them and home. They definitely pull at your heart strings and make you cant get enough! So go pick up one of her books!!!!

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. * This is my first book by author Casey Peeler, but I know that it will not be my last. She has a unique style of writing that grabs the reader and promptly inserts them right into the middle of the book. She is able to make the reader feel the emotions pouring through the pages as well as the angst, love and drama that comes along with her characters. Crashing Tides is the story of Marleigh and Gunnison (GC)....they meet during Spring Break and never really get over each other, especially as the story takes a complete 180 degree turn and the reader is in a state of shock and disbelief as they frantically turn the pages to see what is going to happen next. The author didn't make the path easy for Marleigh or GC, but she made the message clear - true love will find a way, no matter how hard it seems to be... The reader never really gets a chance to sit back and enjoy the scenery along the coast, nor do they get to enjoy the calm, peacefulness of the ocean - they are too busy yelling, screaming and fending off homicidal thoughts due to some poor decisions that the characters make. This book will be a book that you will want to read more than once, as you will want to go back and enjoy the descriptions of the location that the author has chosen for the setting. You will also want to go back and re-read the story because it is just that good. There are a few parts where the reader may think that the details were skimpy or the pace was a bit rushed but the overall story more than makes up for these minor details. Do yourself a favor and add this one to your TBR list - it is a can't miss, must read that you will instantly become hooked on. Enjoy - and be prepared to read it over and over again! ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official. ***
