I love the Steele Ridge series and was really glad that to know that there would be a continuation series. I love strong heroines who know what they want and are not afraid to fight for them and Maggie is definitely one such heroine. Being a female Sheriff is definitely no mean feat and I love how she can keep up with everything, even beating her cousin's record in an obstacle course. She definitely meets her match when she meets Jayson, a sexy quarterback who is in trouble and hides in her town. Love their off the charts chemistry. Their story is also full of suspense and excitement and I was glued to the story all the way. Definitely eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.

Maggie Kingston is a character that grabbed my attention. She's a strong, powerful woman who doesn't need a man to save her. Case in point she's the first female sheriff of Steele Ridge. When she meets super star quarterback Jayson Tucker who's in town to lay low, she feels a powerful attraction. Things get interesting when someone tries to hurt him. Maggie along with the Steeles are determined to find the perpetrator. I enjoyed this story. It's full of people that I cared about along with plenty of action. I was surprised by the twist at the end. Craving Heat is a great start to this new series. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

Craving Heat is the first book in the new The Kingstons series, a spinoff of the Steele Ridge series that I loved in 2017! If you read the Steele Ridge series yet, you'll get to see many of the original characters make an appearance in this book. That's always a plus for me! If you haven't read the original series, don't fret. This book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I am a fan of both sports romance and romantic suspense, so this book checked lots of boxes for me as a reader! I've been anxious to see who Maggie, our favorite small town sheriff with a big personality, would be paired up with in this book. Enter Jay, a seasoned quarterback needing to lie low while his drama gets sorted. Even better, Jay's the good guy that treats other with respect and is extremely supportive of Maggie. Let me just say, his actions on the obstacle course absolutely won me over in the romance department! The romance is slow-burn as Maggie and Jay try to uncover who is behind all of the drama that is impacting Jay's (and his sister's) career. I really enjoyed the way the couple addressed their individual issues and played to each other's strengths. Even better was that they didn't try to "fix" one another. I read this book weeks ago, twice in fact, and I'm still swoony over Jay and Maggie! The Kingstons come across as another family that will be lots of fun to get to know and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

Adrienne Giordano’s Craving Heat Maggie Kingston is a tough, no nonsense Sheriff In Steele Ridge. Quarterback Jayson Tucker who not only lost his job but he endorsements. The nonprofit organization he raised money for doesn’t want to have anything to do with him. Go Maggie’s cousin, Griffin brings his Jayson to town. The press flocks to town. Plus Jayson’s sister has problems. They were both raised in a dysfunctional family so meeting Maggie’s family and seeing how they protect and care for each other is something new to them. Maggie sure has her hands full especially when the chemistry between Sheriff and Quarterback gets steamy. Suspense, fast pace, tension, drama and danger, intrigue with lots of thrills and chills plus some romance make for a well blended read. I voluntarily read this eBook. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

I’m really enjoying the Kingston family in this newest part of Steele Ridge. It’s difficult for a woman in this family of strong men, but Maggie as the town sheriff can certainly hold her own. Now Jayson comes to town to train at her cousin’s facility. He is a star quarterback who has recently gone from being the golden boy to off the team and embroiled in some scandals, none of his own making. Even hiding out in Steele Ridge is a challenge for him in his quest to lay low and his attraction to Maggie makes things even more difficult. I loved the new characters in this special town and look forward to reading more in the series.

Great start to a spin off series!!! I was so happy to see Maggie have her own story!!! The Sheriff and the Ball Player... I enjoyed the build up and layers to this tale! From a scandal to lives being threatened... seeing how things played out had me glued to my seat! Alpha personalities make this really interesting... among learning some secrets along the way. Love the Steele and Kingston siblings! Always entertaining to see them interact within each book! A great read!

A Steele Ridge spin off series--woot! I love that Maggie Kingston's story is first--she's a female sheriff! And her cousin Reed's main competition for the family record on his training center's absolutely insane obstacle course! (She spends the entire novel trying to beat his time, but I'm not going to tell you if she makes it. You've got to read it yourself to find out. :D) Jay is the perfect match for her--she's the only woman on the planet who will call him on his crazy, and he's the only guy that can make her see that yes, sometimes she does go a little too far when she thinks she and only she knows the *right* way to get things fixed. (Okay, her mom and another cousin helped her here too. But it's Jay that made her reconsider in the first place.) Together they're just awesome--and his inner fixation with her handcuffs made me LOL. Every. Time. The suspense part of the plot was solid--even though, looking back I can see that there were some clues to who the bad guy was, I still didn't suspect until we found out for sure. I loved that Ms. Giordano had Maggie use cutting edge technology to find out who was behind it all, too--very timely! Since this is the first in this spin-off series, you could absolutely start your Steel Ridge binge-read here. Many (most? maybe even all? I lost track) of the original series characters at least get a mention here, and several play a role in the story, but you don't have to have read their books to enjoy this one. A word of warning, though--chances are that seeing them all interact here (I. Love. This. Family!) will increase your TBR dramatically. Not that this is a problem...and hey, it will give you something to do until the next series book comes out :) Rating: 4 stars / A- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

4 1/2 STARS! Love when she least expects it! If you've been a fan of the Steele Ridge series, you will most definitely recognize the heroine of this book as the Steele family cousin, Maggie. She's always riding to the rescue when they need it, and this first book in the spin-off series about her family The Kingstons is no different. She might have met her match this time in a take charge alpha male that gives her a run for her money! I loved them together! Great read, and I'm looking forward to more of the sibling stories! Maggie Kingston has her job cut out for her as the Sheriff in Steele Ridge, but as we've seen time and time again from seeing her clean up after her trouble-attracting cousins, she's up to the challenge! When Grif brings one of his high-powered clients to town, it brings a media circus like the town has never seen before and leads to problem after problem for Maggie. She'd be even more mad about it ... if she wasn't enjoying every sexy inch of this guy so much! Quarterback Jayson Tucker just had his career crumble down around him after a moment of anger towards a teammate in the locker room played out in front of the media. He's trying to pick up the pieces of the betrayal by the team he's put his all into for all of these years, and finding out there's something shady going on with a charity endorsement is just icing on the cake. Danger seems to be rearing it's ugly head in his direction, and the law in Steele Ridge makes it her personal mission to make sure every inch of him is protected ... and lusted after!

When an author creates an off-shoot to a series I like, I always hold my breath until I know that it is as good as the original. Is Steele Ridge: Kingstons is good as the first books om the series? My vote is an unequivocal, YES. Depth of character, an exciting plot, and enough steam to sweeten your dreams for nights to come make this newest release a true winner for the outstanding Adrienne Giordano. All of the Steele Ridge cousins are around and just as tough and hilarious together as always. Tough Sheriff Maggie Kinston doesn’t fall easily but once she does, she is gone…and not fighting it has hard as I expected. One bad moment has turned star quarterback Jayson Tucker into a pariah as the team execs refuse to stand up for the man who has led their team and kept them in balance for years. An old man in football years, Jayson should have still had some playing time left and he wants every minute and Griff is determined to get it for him but someone seems to be working against them. Jayson may be the stuff sweet dreams are made of but the flood of media is more of a nightmare for one small town sheriff. I requested and received an ARC of Craving Heat from the author intending to review it because I love all of Ms. Giordano’s books. Now I can add one more to that list!

I loved reading this book, it was like going home and catching up with old friends. However, this time Maggie Kingston the sheriff of Steele Ridge is the main attraction. Maggie has had to prove herself as tough, strong, and dependable as the first female sheriff in Steele Ridge and the town has come to rely on her. At the urging of his agent quarterback Jayson Tucker has come to Steele Ridge to lay low after being released by his team for his role in a locker room fight. Not only does Maggie have to protect Jayson from the media, but it appears someone wants him dead also. Jayson is used to fighting his own battles and not relying on others. The attraction between Maggie and Jayson is instant and off the charts but for them to move forward they must stop a killer and learn to trust each other. I was given this ARC for an honest review.

No matter the genre that this author writes in, she excels in writing stories that have you engrossed and engaged from the opening paragraph, and then rapidly turning pages. Around every corner is the unexpected, she is definitely the type of storyteller who has a surprise or two waiting in the wings. This first book in the new series, an extension to the Steele Ridge series, involving the Kingston cousins, is no exception. It is a delight that the Steele and Kingston families are weaved together throughout the story. With her telltale gift of mixing drama and suspense with the perfect amount of playful humor and banter, Ms Giordano has given Maggie her own much deserved story. Pairing her with a professional athlete in the form of Jayson Tucker was the perfect compliment to Maggie’s strong female presence. Their story will take you through twists and turns involving different factors and characters all playing strong roles in tying all the aspects together in such a fashion to bringing about the perfect conclusion, to the drama and for the couple themselves. This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
