A USA Today Must Read Romance

Were-lynx Kennedy's world implodes when she's sent to a facility for illegal and torturous experimentation. Only after she's rescued does she learn she's been living a lie for 22 years. She can count on nothing from her past - not her parents, her surname, or her safety. Only the brother she didn't know and his colony of were-lynxes offer any semblance of stability. Suspicious of everyone and unsure of her path forward, Kennedy reluctantly starts to realize that charming were-bobcat Asher Monroe might be her only hope.

Sportswriter Asher has been trying desperately to ferret out the truth behind why the sinister Nexus Group has been kidnapping and experimenting on were-cats. But he's also willing to use his special mind-controlling ability to discover whether the gorgeous Kennedy is a threat to the colony or simply a lost soul.

As their need for the truth takes them into escalating danger, they discover explosive secrets that could bring Kennedy and Asher together - or rip them apart forever.

This novel picks up right where the previous story in the series left off and takes readers deep inside the world of the were-lynxes.  It is action paced and suspenseful at times, wildly romantic at others.  Crandall does a fantastic job of drawing readers into her story & giving them a world to loose themselves in.  The novel is well written & edited, the polished finish making it infinitely more enjoyable for the reader.   The world that Crandall creates is well rounded and developed on all fronts.  As a reader, you really get a sense of what it means to be part of this colony. I love how she states the abilities of the various shifters and how they correlate to what they’re doing, be it in their everyday lives or on a special mission.  The fact that each shifter has a special ability and that no two are the same makes things even more entertaining and unique.  Each character really stands out.  I like how there are different kinds of were-cats all together, but how Crandall shows they’re linked species.   The main characters definitely increase the emotional impact of this story.  Both had difficult childhoods and times as an adolescent, but in vastly different ways.  Asher’s internal conflicting versus his external persona let you understand him on many levels.  Kendall’s skewed sense of self-worth really makes you feel for her.  I found myself with my heart on my sleeve throughout, with my fingers crossed for these two. Since it doesn’t seem to be listed as such on many websites, I will warn readers that this is the 2nd book in a series that really should be read in order, but that is definitely well worth reading for those who enjoy shifters.  I absolutely love it! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

ADVANCED COPY PROVIDED BY AUTHOR Author Lynn Crandall allows us to slink into her were-lynx world once again in the second installment of her Fierce Hearts paranormal series. On the pages of “Cravings,” Ms. Crandall gives us characters that exist in two worlds – our world and their lynx colony, with traits so believable, readers will find themselves looking at their neighbors, the mailman, or their best friend and waiting for them to shimmer into a were-lynx. No need to fear, though, these folks with their highly honed capabilities to heal, see through solid objects, memorize data with one look or nudge into the brain for a sense of calm would make some of the best friends. The story introduces us to Asher Monroe, a local sportswriter who should sit in the investigative section of the newsroom, and Kennedy Novak, the much-maligned were-lynx raised to be an experiment designed to create a killer species. Asher, also a were-lynx, sees through her detached demeanor to the lost soul longing to belong. Others in the were-lynx colony aren’t as certain. Desire and danger mix and take the colony and the reader on an exciting ride to rescue. Undoubtedly, Ms. Crandall was a cat in another life. She most certainly is the leader of her wonderful were-lynx world.
