Seventeen-year-old Becca Greenfield was snatched from her small hometown. She was thrown into a maximum-security prison and put on Death Row with other kids her age. Until her execution, Becca's told to fit in and shut her mouth . . . but Becca's never been very good at either. Her sister Cassie was always the good twin.

There were no charges. There was no trial. There will be no escape. Becca's only hope is that her twin sister will find her. That perfect little priss Cassie will stop following the rules and start breaking them, before it's too late. Because her jailers made a mistake that could get them both killed: They took the wrong twin.

I'm hoping CRAZY HOUSE is just the beginning. I have so many unanswered questions. And any book that does that is definitely worth reading. The book threw me between anger and hope. Great characters to love and hate. Looking for a follow-up book. Thank you for all your books, but especially this one.

A bit of a slow start but once it got going, the action never stopped. Great dystopian novel. Reminded me a bit of "The Hunger Games" with a added bit of "Furnace" in it. Loved this book.

Crazy House by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet begins when Cassie can't find her twin sister Rebecca and is desperately trying to figure out where she is. Meanwhile, Becca is in a prison on death row with other teenagers. The cover states similar to Hunger games, but I feel like it's a combination of that series plus Unwind by Neal Shusterman and the Program by Suzanne Young. The prison is full of people that fight against the main government. These people are known as Outsiders. The story doesn't flow and it's told in spurts and a bit choppy. I give it 4 stars for a different approach to a dystopian concept.

Becca and Cassie are twins who live in an area known as a 'cell', which is part of the United. Other cells exist but citizens are not allowed to cross over. Each cell is governed by a provost and rules must be obeyed. Every aspect of life is controlled. It's the way things have always been. Children mysteriously disappear and never return. Becca becomes one of the disappeared is and placed on Death Row in a prison full of kids. The regime is brutal and executions are part of everyday life. Despite the odds, Cassie is determined to find her twin and bring her back home. I'm not a big fan of Teen and Young Adult literature but when I saw the main author was none other than celebrated author of countless adult thrillers, James Patterson, I jumped at the opportunity. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I thought it was excellent and really enjoyed it. I'm also not hugely into dystopian novels but the world created in Crazy House sucked me in and had me totally hooked. The ending was left open but didn't feel unfinished. It had the feeling of 'one door closing and another about to open'. Let's hope there are future books planned because it has the potential to be a really special series.

Crazy house is definitely one of my many favorite books, I think it is very mysterious and keeps you guessing until the very end. This book is meant to be exciting , who is to say it has to be realistic. Do not say words such as " I just wanted to throw the book in the trash". When there are plenty of people who would enjoy this book as much as I did. One book to surely be recommended. Please check your spelling before trash talking one of the greatest authors master pieces. Thank you very much Mr. Patterson . Five brilliant shinning stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this book so much! It was great to see the view points of both twins as the story was playing for both of them. I can only imagine what will happen next. It was hard to put this book down at night. This was a great way to start my summer of reading!!! This is the first James Patterson book I have read and I simply loved it!

Worst James Patterson book I have ever read and I've read them all. This story doesn't make any sense at all and has a horrible ending. Was so aggravated when I finished it I just wanted to throw the book in the trash! If I could rate is with zero stars I would. A total waste of my time!

I've read 1000s of books and Crazy House is THE most distur ing I've read. Don't read if you're feeling even a little bit vulnerable.
