Crazy Jack is a retelling of Jack and the Bean Stalk. I like the setting. It takes place in England during the middle ages. Jack has a girlfriend named Flora who he wants to marry. One day his father climbs up a moutain and never comes down. Jack thinks he can save his dad which is why they called him Crazy Jack.

Crazy Jack is about a giant and a beanstalk. A little boy named Jack lost his father when he was climbing a mountain. Seven years later an old fairy traded Jack 9 magical beans for Jack¿s cow. When Jack got to his house, Jack showed his mom the 9 magical beans the old fairy gave to him. Jack planted the 9 magical beans in his backyard, then the next morning there was a giant beanstalk where he planted the beans last night. Jack climbed the beanstalk and when he got the top he saw a giant. Jack saw a harp and a goose that laid golden eggs that the giant had. Jack stole the harp and the goose and ran away. The giant followed Jack down the beanstalk to kill him. When Jack climbed all the way to the bottom of the beanstalk he started to cut down the beanstalk and when Jack cut down the beanstalk the giant fell down the beanstalk and died. I liked the book because it is interesting. It was better than the other two books I read. Some parts of the book Crazy Jack, I did not like them.

Crazy Jack is a great book. It is like the story jack and the beans stalk. But in this story this jack is a little different. Jack loves to work od the fields. He also loves flora his next door neighbor. Jack dried up crops and stole away things that people coundn't replace. One day his father got tired enough of jack so he climbed the cliff in the clouds and vanishes. Jack's father disappearance bother jack until people called him crazy jack. That is when he knew that flora was going to refuse his offer. When a magic got to him, that is when he want to know what really happened to his only one father. But when he gets there he the book to find out the rest!!!
