ight, so here's the thing... I'm wasn't in love with this one, but I didn't exactly dislike it either. Hang on, I shall explain... The story we follow the majority of the time was slowish, but enjoyable...she becomes his personal assistant while a spark develops and is fed over time leading to a great big HAZZAH moment and then just when everything seems to potentially be going the way one thinks it would go (even if a bit fast, but hey...it is the movie biz!)....BOOM....blindsided by something COMPLETELY different...and that's where my hang up comes in. The latter storyline introduced that seemed to be an afterthought, yet could have played a bigger role, if given the chance to develop or introduced somewhat earlier in the story, hit me completely out of nowhere. I mean I wasn't looking for THAT type of story, I was perfectly content with how things were going with all the snark and flirtations, even the faster than the speed of light HEA that came at you like a train in the dark, but it just seemed like unnecessary drama to bring about at book's end. Why now...why this story...why not give it a life of its own or integrate it in so both could flow throughout the pages? That's the one thing with short stories, sometimes there are more ideas, more potential to explore than pages promised. All in all, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't as over the top as I had wished it would be. The truth of the matter is BOTH story lines were worth persuing; I just wish they had both been given time to grow and achieve their full potential. After being fed up with her employer, and being accused of not doing her job right once again, Kira Watson has finally decided she has had enough, and grabs her belongings and marches to the nearest exit, she isn't going to work somewhere she wasn't appreciated. Luck have it that her best friend has the perfect job waiting in the wings for her, an assistant's job to one of Hollywood's most famous directors, Reid Sinclair, what she didn't tell her though is that he was going to be a handful to deal with! She has dealt with an annoying bosses before, but this one definitely takes the cake, first off he doesn't think he needs an assistant, but he does, and his recent divorce has left him really moody and bent out of shape. But it's not anything she hasn't faced before, she has brothers, and is wise to the games men play to push a woman's buttons, and she plans on returning the favor every chance she gets... turnabout is fair play right? But somewhere along the way lines become blurry, and those games turn into sexy fueled banter that leads them to a place they never saw coming! Crazy With You is a sexy little literary romp that is sure to put a smile on readers faces, the moment the banter starts, you can't help but grin! I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it came equipped with plenty of humor and witty banter, loads of heart and emotion, tidbits of suspense, and just the right amount of steamy action to curl the toes! I highly recommend you get your hands on this novella, it will make you swoon, make you laugh, and leave your heart overflowing!!
