This is a wonderful set of documents about the process of creation, drawn from a wide variety of fields. If I remember rightly, and it is a long time ago , I learned from this book, the idea of how a ' creative answer ' often comes after first an intense period of work, and then a stop, a distancing from the problem , a rest. The answer comes suddenly often when the person is out walking and seemingly thinking about something else.So E=mc2 supposedly came to Einstein . More poetic and deeper is Wordsworth 's writing of poetry as " the overflow of spontaneous emotion recollected in tranquility " This work is rich in ideas and is a valuable document for anyone who wants to understand their own path in creation , both in their own everyday lives and in the dream they might have of some higher work.
