Talib travels to Jordan to learn the real motive behind the 9/11 attacks while living in the midst of the Muslim community. As he searches for answers, he is shocked to hear that the rite of passage for a teenager to pick up arms in the Middle East has become a way of life influenced by religion. When he meets Tayma, he realizes the full extent of this influence as she struggles to break away from the traditions and torment that she faces from her native religion and culture. Talib and Tayma find a love together that could ultimately change their lives forever but comes at a dreadful price.
The story is presented through the struggles of one family that serves as the focal point. An interesting concept.
