About the Author

Julia Miller is a lifelong fan of Jane Austen. Combine that with her love of crime writing, humour and mystery, and throw in her passion for language, and you'll understand why her writing Crime and Prejudice was as inevitable as a wet shirt in a televised Regency romance. Julia studied French and Spanish at Cambridge and taught English in Portugal. She later spent many happy years as a university lecturer in Australia, collecting a PhD along the way. Apart from interacting with some incredibly inspiring students, the most enjoyable part of her academic career was developing the free English for Uni website, with its humorous teaching videos featuring grammar detective Ms Parrot. She has written in a variety of genres, including crime and romance. All her novels contain elements of intrigue, with more than a dash of humour, and all have strong women characters.
