The Divorced Diva's are a group of women who get together and bash their ex-husbands. You cannot help but fall in love with these women, who are all different and unique in their own way. They are true to one another, and support one another no matter what. When Bernadine's ex is found murdered, all evidence is pointing towards her. But Holly and the other divas set out to prove that the evidence against Bernadine, is not what it seems. At times, the diva's have their doubts about her innocence, but that does not stop them. This book was great, as all Tonya Kappes books are, and it offers friendship, love, suspense, beading, weddings and fun. Not only did I fall in love with the diva's, but also with Donovan, Holly's hopeful new romance, and Willow, the pet pig. This was a fast paced, easy read, that I enjoyed very much.

This is a delightful mystery that will have you laughing and guessing throughout the entire book. The characters are fun, down to earth, varied and have just enough contrast and conflict to make them believable. Set in a small town of Swanee, Kentucky. First you might want to know who the Divorced Divas are, they are a group of women who got together to bash, trash their ex-husbands while cheering each other up and supporting each other through all kind of troubles. After one of the Diva's decided to take the bashing and suggested revenge plots literally instead of figuratively the Divas were paid a visit by local law enforcement who urged them to bash their ex-husbands only figuratively from then on. The Divas are en eclectic blend of women from all walks of life. They even bicker with one another the way true friends will, but they always have each others back. Holly runs the local beading shop and is dating Donovan the local self defense instructor/ college professor. Holly's ex Sean does not seem to like the fact that he has been replaced and likes to cause conflict for Holly whenever possible. Holly and the Diva's are thrown into a murder investigation when one of Holly's beading tools goes missing and one of the Diva's ex-husbands is found dead with the tool in his office. Things move ahead fast in this book and you will find yourself turning the pages to try to keep up. The plot twists and turns like a well written mystery should. You will laugh, smack your head and keep on reading to find out who killed the ex, who Holly will end up with if anyone and why one of the other characters seems to hate her so much. Pick it up you won't be sorry.

I haven't posted a review of the first book in this series but JUST finished this while sitting at Panera and had to say how much I enjoyed this installment! Holly and the other Divorced Divas dive in to help when one of the "ex-asses" is murdered.  Tonya kept me guessing until the end...even though I thought several times I had it figured out. Holly's ex-ass Sean continues to try to draw her back, whether he really wants her or not...causing issues with her new interest Donovan.  I'm with another reviewer who wants to just drag Sean out of the book and kick him in the shins...or higher!  Go visit Sewanee, KY and get to know the Divas!

I really like the Divorced Divas series, and Crimped to Death was the perfect addition. It was entertaining, exciting, and mysterious, and I feel like I have become a part of the Divorced Divas. The Divas are always getting themselves into some sort of mess, but they always help each other out of them. This time, a member is arrested for murdering their ex-husband, and the group is on a mission to find the truth. The story is wonderful! Like the jewelry made in Holly's bead shop, lots of beautiful little things come together to make a marvelous piece of work. The story wouldn't be the same without each individual piece, including little Willow. The murder kept me guessing for the whole book. There were plenty of surprises, and Holly's love life is getting pretty interesting as well, but I don't want to give anything away. Just know that it all comes together flawlessly! If you enjoy a great story, and love to visit the small town setting, Crimped to Death is perfect for you! Check it out! Chances are, you'll want to become an honorary member of the Divorced Divas.

Can't get enough of those Divorced divas! Crimped To Death ... another wonderful and fun cozy mystery by Tonya Kappes. I was so excited to read the new book in the Divorced Diva's mystery series and it did not disappoint. I was immediately hooked. Beading, plotting, mystery, romance and laughs. What more could you want? Oh and Willow ... I absolutely love that precious pig! I like to think that I am pretty good about figuring out who the killer is in books and movies but I can never guess with Tonya's books. She really keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Now I can't wait for the next in the series. I hope there are many many more to come.
