Well-written bios of well-known designers with beautiful photos and a few amazing patterns. My only complaint is that a lot of photos of representative designs by the various "masters" are shown with text that makes it clear the design has been published and is available somewhere, but the book does not tell the reader to find the patterns pictured.
Not enough patterns and too much needless info on there things.
This book has it all! Just what I was looking for to further my crocheting hobby into top gear! Beautiful photographs, wonderful pattern selections & something for everyone.
Love it! I learned that a doily my sister gave me and we both thought was badly stained was made that way. The "stain" was deliberate, thus the uniformity of the stain. Too bad I threw it out three years ago. I am now working on a doily in the colors of my china. If nothing else than this the book is worth the purchase. But there are other projects I am excited to try!
Beautiful pictures. Includes stories of crochet designers and showcases a pattern and instruction from each. Each designer featured also features a different type of crochet. Great book with a lot to offer anyone who likes the craft.
