I purchased this book for 2 reasons: 1. I wanted crock pot recipes for my mother to use as I bought her a crock pot for Christmas and (2)the description stated that it had large print, which would be ideal for my mother. The book is actually hand written and the print is not very large (I'm not even sure it's larger than normal print). The print is not easy to read compared to typed print. It also appears to be extremely unprofessional - almost childlike. I couldn't give this as a gift so I returned it.

I have purchased a number of crock pot cookbooks, but I always end up coming back to this one. All the recipes have just a few ingredients, so I am often able to make something from what I already have in my pantry. I love how the directions are handwritten! They are so easy to follow and I almost feel as if the author is speaking to me personally as I read each recipe. If you buy only one cookbook this year, make it this one!

I was given a crockpot for a gift on Christmas and was a little skeptical of using it.. I was afraid it was going to be loads of work and a hassle to use.. so I then was in search of a good cookbook for help and came across "Crock-It" it had great information on the use of a crockpot, Delicious and easy to read recipes all hand written which gave it a warm and homey feeling. Now, I only need a few mintues in the morning to prepare for dinner and when I get home from a hard days work, dinner is served!! Thanks Barb for this FABULOUS book!

This is my second copy, the first was a gift (used) to a best friends new wife who wasn't great at culinary crafts (she was also a broker who also worked 10-12 hrs.) As my friend said best 'the're all good'.Its good, honest, easy 'home cookin''.
