Overview

A hot new standalone in the series that's been called "A total, utter must read." - Book Fanatic

Hello, rock? Meet hard place.

Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn't exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation.

But I'll admit, being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who's just graduated from medical school, doesn't exactly sound like a hardship.

We spend a week together at my family's beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.

She's funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, I find my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she's not looking for a relationship, I'm bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

Crossing The Line is the fourth book in Kendall Ryan’s latest Hot Jocks series and is Asher and Bailey’s story. This is a friends to lovers story, with a side of hockey, that was a fun and entertaining book to read.   I enjoyed that it was Asher who is pushing for more than a hot fling with Bailey. The chemistry between them is intense and I loved the build up of tension. I loved Asher, he is so swoon worthy and Bailey is a strong, confident woman who I would be happy to call a friend.   While helping Asher recover from a groin injury, Bailey who has recently graduated from medical school, gets to know more about the man who is her friend and not just a famous hockey player and his family. I loved the family dynamics, it added an additional layer to the read. Will Asher and Bailey be able to commit to a relationship or will his partying ways and her job force them apart? This was an entertaining read which was steamy. It was also great to catch up with the previous couples and see where they are now.

The Hot Jocks Series of stand-alone’s is fast becoming one of my favourite reads and Crossing the Line book 4 is the perfect addition to a entertaining series that’s full of great couples. Asher has suffered a bad groin injury and it’s Bailey the recently graduated med student who helps with his recovery and it’s during the time they spend together that she gets to know the real man, she gets to see a different side to the man she calls a friend and the famous hockey player...... This is a story that will draw you in and captivate you, it’s full of witty banter and plenty of swoon worthy moments, it has characters you can’t help loving and just like Bailey you will get to know the real Asher not just the playboy jock. I loved everything about this book, the chemistry was intense and there’s plenty of steamy moments to go with the witty banter but it was seeing the caring side to Asher that really touched me. Great addition to the Hot Jocks Series.

How can one man be both alpha and sweet, a family orientated, in touch with his feminine side yet completely masculine? This is the conundrum we are faced with as we get to know Asher on a deeper level. While he has been seen as a player of epic proportions so far in the series, at heart he is a romantic looking for the right person to fit into his extremely full life and large family. Bailey and Asher have been friends for a while thanks to their mutual friends; despite having simmering attraction to each other they have never acted on it due to their own negative thinking. Plus they have never had any real alone time with which to confront their chemistry. However, all that is about to change when Asher requires a medical companion to accompany him to his grandmothers birthday party/family reunion. With Bailey freshly out of med school and with a few weeks before starting her residency, she makes the impulsive decision to go with Asher in a professional compacity. Not that things stay strictly professional with them for long!!!! I fell completely in love with Asher’s boisterous and demonstrative family especially his wicked grandmother, Lolli. I especially liked the way they absorbed Bailey into their family dynamic, giving her something she hadn’t realised she had been missing in her own life. Asher is completely wonderful in his ability to be attuned to his emotions, he doesn’t shy away from his feelings simply acknowledges them being open and honest with his desire for the future. With both Asher and Bailey having extremely busy careers, it is understandable that Bailey would have some concerns with how a relationship would work between them following their week away. Especially as she had a previous relationship end badly due to her limited free time. Although Asher isn’t perturbed in the slightest realising that in order to make a true foundation for the future he and Bailey would make the most of the time they have together. Which Asher is determined to prove to Bailey with actions and not just words. Crossing the Line is a fast-paced story which will have you giggling and swooning right along with Bailey as Asher masters the way to his woman’s heart ❤

Having read and enjoyed the previous books in the Hot Jocks series, I couldn’t wait to read Asher’s story. We get to briefly meet him in the previous books, but we really get to fall in love with him in Crossing the Line. Asher Reed has the perfect hockey career who has given him the money and the luxury of having any women he might want. But his career has been put on hold as he recovers from a concussion and a pulled groin that will keep from playing for the rest of the season. Instead of watching his team play without him, Asher takes his injury as a sign that he has working a lot and decides to take some time off to visit his family in California. Yet, he is shocked when his friend, Bailey, offers to travel with him as his nurse in order to make sure he follows his doctor’s instructions. Even though he hasn’t spent a lot of time with Bailey, he has always been attracted to her and their trip soon proves to be full of temptation as the two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. Asher has always been the one-night-stand-type of guy, but he wants to try to be more with Bailey, he just needs to convince her to give him a chance. Bailey Erickson has worked really hard to get to where she is now, having finished medical school, she is ready to take the next step of her career as she will soon be starting her residency. But while she takes a much needed break, she volunteers to be Asher’s nurse for a week. Traveling to California would be like taking a vacation, yet she wasn’t expecting to grow close to Asher or his family. She has always been a career- driven woman and a relationship is not something that she wants. But the more time she spend with Asher, the more she begins to question what she truly wants. I loved this story, it was sexy and funny. Asher is kind and caring towards his family. Bailey fit right in with his family and it was nice seeing their interactions. It was having Bailey be the one that wasn’t ready for the relationship and Asher having to woo her. They compliment each other and they are able to work through the problem together. We also get cameos from pervious characters and the author did a great job setting us up for the next book in the series. It worked really well in the end. All in all, if you are looking for a romantic read filled with steam and a hilarious family then I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! :) **I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

Bailey is getting ready to start her residency. When hot, injured hockey player Asher needs help she can’t resist going with him. Great chemistry and romance. I liked how Asher was not the player he seemed. A perfect alpha with a soft squishy center. Bailey was assertive and knew what she wanted. Asher’s crazy family was a great setup for the story. Wonderful continuation of the Hot Jock series!!!

This series continues to deliver laughs, love and couples that have amazing chemistry. I was so excited for Bailey and Asher's story. The hockey world keeps me quickly turning pages and I enjoyed their story from start to finish. Unfortunately (or fortunately), Asher has to take a break off of the ice because of a groin injury and concussion he got during a game. While he is out of commission, his family is getting together out of town for his grandma's 85th birthday. He needs someone that can accompany him and help take care of him. Bailey is that lucky woman to get to spend a week with him and his family. During this trip they get to spend quality time together and their chemistry continues to ignite. Asher's Grandma Lolli is fantastic and hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud throughout the book. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series. Dive in and enjoy!!!

Crossing the Line was funny and cute! Asher is a sweet and caring guy on the inside and a big, muscular guy on the outside. He's also very entertaining. I loved seeing him with his family, especially how cute he is with his little kid relatives, that was adorable. Bailey is a nice girl. She's very smart and motivated. Her and Asher make a very cute couple, and apparently everyone agrees. I can't wait for Landon's book, that's gonna be another good one for sure!

Crossing the Line is a friends to lovers dream! Making the best of a tough situation has never been so hot, especially when doing a favor for a friend, turns into so much more... Bailey and Asher will have you laughing til you swoon. Let alone the rest of Asher's lovable family, since they're entertaining enough just on their own! Such a great addition to the Hot Jocks series - a charming, quick and steamy read!

I love Kendall Ryan books! Crossing the line had me falling for Asher more and more. If you are new to the Hot Jocks series, that is okay. Each book can be read as a stand alone! But why would you want to miss out on these "Hot Jocks". I adored Bailey. She has brass and a heart of gold. When she goes with Asher to a family event, it was all sparks and no boundaries. I love Grandma Lolli! She was amazing and Asher's whole family loved to meddle. I smiled and fell in love with first love. Bailey may be small, but she is mighty. I loved her no nonsense with Ashe and he was puddy in her hands. Crossing the Line is funny, sassy, and action packed behind closed doors if you know what I mean! I hardly put this book down and loved every moment of it!!

This was good overall, but this wasn’t my favorite couple from this series. I’m giving it 3.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion. From previous books, I didn’t remember much of Asher, but I really enjoyed what I’d seen of Bailey. She was so motivated, and focused. I loved how both of them had intense careers, and the thing Asher said about how he’d be happy to stay home and let his wife be the breadwinner wowed me. Most men wouldn’t even consider that! Bailey was sweet, and I loved watching her interact with Asher’s family. But I also felt like she let Asher believe whatever he wanted, so she got what she wanted, at moments. The time spent in California included some of the best parts. If I had to pick a favorite person from Asher’s family, it would be Lolli (she was such a fun grandma), but they were all pretty great. The book mentioned his dad a couple times, but we never really “met” him actually, which I thought was a little odd. Did we even learn his name? Also that brought up the fact that we never knew much about Bailey’s family (at least not that I could remember), and we never met them. As for Asher, I liked him. Honestly he was a big teddy bear, which I found surprising given his reputation. I never expected him to be so in tune with his emotions, but I loved how much his family meant to him, and how he wasn’t afraid to feel. I also liked how he chased after Bailey, going after what he wanted. While they did sleep together kind of early on in the book, this still felt like a slow burn; at least on the emotional side as they didn’t actually get together until close to the end. I enjoyed this, but I also wanted to see more of them together! The book ended much too soon for me.

When Asher met Bailey he knew she was special, the kind of girl his playboy self should probably stay away from. She's the kind of girl you promise forever too, and he is no where near ready for that. When she volunteers to accompany him, as his nurse, on his summer trip home he knows it's going to be tough to maintain their "just friends" status, but he's willing to give it a try. But then his sexy little nurse throws him for a loop when she makes her move, he had no idea that she felt that way about him. She tells him that she knows he's not into relationships, and she is too busy for them anyhow, so she suggests a week of fun. But when the week comes to an end, Asher finds himself wanting more... In Crossing the Line readers will meet two endearing characters who are about to take their friendship to a whole new level, one that neither of them saw coming, but once they get a taste of it they can't seem to let go. Watching Bailey and Asher fight their attraction for one another and fail was thoroughly entertaining. It was evident these two belonged with one another, and boy was it fun to watch them figure that out. I really enjoyed this newest installment in the Hot Jocks series, it was a lighthearted romantic romp that brought many feels and swoons, and kept me captivated from the first page until the last! Highly recommend!

Crossing The Line is a story that will capture your attention with great banter, wonderful friendships and family moments and sizzling tension! Asher and Bailey are a match made in fictional heaven! You cannot help but immerse yourself into their highly entertaining story! Asher is an injured hockey player and when Bailey offers to be his nurse whilst visiting his family, their week away is amazing with the most fun family dynamic!! Ashers family is definitely unique but incredibly fun and full of laughs and hugs! His grandma is an absolute hoot! I love how Bailey just fit right in! Can their friendship become more or will their careers get in the way of what could potentially be something great! You will just have to read it for yourself to find out! This book was an incredible addition to the amazing Hot Jocks series and I cannot wait for more!!

I’m loving this series, and book 4, Crossing the Line, covers one of my favourite tropes, friends to lovers, so yes, this story was a win win for me. When newly qualified doctor, Bailey agrees to go to her best friend Asher’s family home for a bit of R&R, whilst ensuring he’s nursed back to health following a concussion and groin injury, they have trouble trying to not, cross that line. They are definitely more hot and sweaty, rather than calm and relaxed, and they possibly do more harm than good to Asher’s groin, if you know what I mean. A wonderful story, Asher and Bailey are perfect for each other, no lies, no pretending with each other, no denying their lusts and wants. Asher’s family are adorable, funny, and sweet, I just adore his grandma. A light easy read to get completely lost in. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This was such a sweet, fun, sexy read. Asher has become my favorite Hot Jock! Asher and Bailey are the perfect compliment to one another! The complete each other without needing to be completed. I love that about them. It's a pleasant change to have a couple understand they want each other and not need! Kendall has done it again and I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Asher the sexy hot strong hockey player is sidelined with an injury and Bailey just happens to be the best option or shall I say the only option he has to go home to visit family on a very special occasion. He can only travel with medical personal per the team higher ups .. but .. is it really a hardship ?? Sexy confident smart Dr. Erickson just happens to be available for the job to be Ashers medical chaperone.. but .. does Bailey really think this is a good idea with the way she has always looked at Asher .. from afar .. that even her girlfriends don’t notice .. or .. did they ?? The sparks between these two makes the pages flame and spark as you are reading .. BUT .. Bailey is just starting her residency and DOSENT have time for a relationship .. or does she ?? Ashe never thought he was relationship material BUT with Bailey that is EXACTLY what he wants .. Can the make it work ?? Hockey .. traveling .. games .. Doctor .. schedule .. patients .. who will WIN ?? I have to say truth fully .. I CRIED TWICE while reading Asher and Bailey story .. there hearts and minds are so strong in this book you will feel the pull right along with them !! LOVED EVERY WORD !!

This series started off with a bang and each book makes me fall more in love with these characters. This story centers around Asher the "hot jock" who ended up with a pulled groin muscle, as well as a concussion and Bailey the sexy, smart soon-to-be doctor who volunteers to "nurse" him back to health. The relationship that builds between these two friends is nothing short of sweet perfection. Asher is the bad boy on the ice and the sweet affectionate man off, especially when spending that time surrounded by his family especially his grandmother. Bailey is adamant she's not looking for a serious relationship, has no time for it until she realizes she may want so much more with Asher. What happens when two friends have one steamy hookup? What happens when they realize they want more from each other but not sure how to ask one another for that chance? Guess you'll have to one-click this amazing read!

Bailey and Asher have super great chemistry. I loved this slow burn to explosive fireworks story. From friends to lovers, they were so cute together. Once they got together it was all steam. I really enjoyed Asher's soft side and Bailey was just really loveable. All the other characters in the story really added another excellent addition to it as well.

A hot hockey player and a doctor and throw in a feisty grandma. You have the makings of a 5 star read by an amazing author. This book has it all. Fun and lots of lovin’. Asher and Bailey heat up the sheets at his family’s get together. She never thought it would happen. After all she only went as his medical doctor to make sure he didn’t over do it. The chemistry was always there even though they never really spent a lot of time alone. He was the hockey athlete playboy and she was the med student. They could not be more opposite. But you know what they say about opposites. And boy do they attract. Asher and Bailey not only heat up the sheets they click on every other level as well. She sees him for the guy he is down deep. A family man. The way he is with his little cousins. How he cried when his sister gave birth. This is the man she can see herself with, if she was looking. But sometimes love happens even when we don’t look for it. Kendall Ryan is one of the most amazing authors I have ever read. She always gives her readers everything and so much more.

Fast paced, steamy and simply adorable! With book four in her Hot Jocks series, Kendall Ryan delights her readers with yet another of her sexy jocks in CROSSING THE LINE. Asher is a fun-loving joy of a character to read. He's sweet with just the right amount of cockiness to keep a grin on your face at his antics. Bailey is a little harder to read. She likes him even before she agrees to be his medical presence on his trip home, but she also knows she needs to buckle down as she becomes a doctor. Good times help make her decision! I missed the heavier hockey spin since he was out injured in this book, but it was still a fun read and I enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to more to come in the series!

Fun, sexy and fabulous friends to lover’s romance. Bailey’s life is very focused as she works to become a doctor. Asher finds himself in need of medical supervision while he recovers from a concussion and groin injury to be able to visit his family in California. Step in Bailey with a break before her residency to help out. Now, these two have been circling each other when they get together with their friends but neither has been willing to show how they really feel. Being at Asher’s grandmother’s, there is a lot of meddling which is so much fun from his mother, grandmother and sister’s which makes it harder for Asher to resist. Bailey gets to see the softer side to Asher after really only knowing him for his hockey playing. She finds herself unable to resist his charming and sexy moves. The real challenge, what happens when the vacation is over? Will Bailey realize she can balance a relationship with her medical dreams? I loved this couple with all the sexual innuendos and banter, which gave me a beautiful romance to devour.

Oh I am so loving this series by Kendall Ryan!! If you are looking for a fun, swoony and steamy sports romance, look no further! This is the quick-paced story of Asher and Bailey. Asher is the tough center of the Ice Hawks hockey team.  He plays hard and goes strong until he gets what he wants. Bailey is the friend, she is going places and has big, bright future ahead of her. When Asher and Bailey spend a week together, sparks fly! I love how underneath the tough exterior Asher is a big softie, he embraces his feelings and doesn't apologize for showing them. I also admire how he understands that Bailey doesn't need him to complete her.  He wants to be her dessert! The world that Ms. Ryan has created is fresh, funny and full of heart and heat!! I cannot wait for the next story in this series!! Landon & Aubree are gonna be epic!

I know whenever I pick up a Kendall Ryan book I am in for a great story and this book did not disappoint. I absolutely loved both Asher and Bailey. They were great by themselves and fantastic as a couple. I loved that they started out as friends who hung out just because of the group of friends that they had in common. Yet when Bailey offers to help Asher out with a medical issue he has this is when they both realize that they have an attraction to each other. And it is an attraction that is hard for them to ignore, even in a house full of loud crazy relatives. This series has been absolutely wonderful, every time I think I found my book boyfriend I read the next book and I have a new one. Each book is as good as the last and I can’t pick a favorite. So with that I say I can’t wait for the next one!

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review** Crossing the Line is the fourth book in Kendall Ryan's Hot Jocks series and while this is part of a series, all of the books can be read as stand alone's. With that said, you should consider reading them all because this is one fun group of "hot jocks"! Asher is recovering from both a concussion and a groin strain that he got in one of the teams latest games. Bailey is just about to enter her residency to finish up her studies to become a doctor. Asher and Bailey are part of the same friend group and have spent plenty of time together, but not a whole lot of one-on-one time, however that is about to change. Asher has a family reunion that he'd like to attend, but the team says he has to take a nurse and he is not about to take a stranger to his grandma's house. When Bailey offers to go, she figures she can help take care of her friend and also get a free trip to sunny California. What ends up unfolding in California is super entertaining. Not only are Asher and Bailey fighting the feelings they are beginning to have for one another, but Asher's grandma, mom and sisters are also getting in on trying to get the two together. Asher is absolutely awesome. He's sweet, attentive, and not to mention swoonworthy as all get out. Bailey gets to see a different side of him as he spends time with his little nieces. Bailey is not only smart, determined and intelligent, but she's also falling in love with Asher's family! The question is, once the week is over and they go back to "real life" will they be a couple or was this just a quick vacation hook-up? I loved this book and how it all played out. It was a so fun to have all of Asher's family be such a part of the story and his grandma and her special juice made me smile. Do yourself a favor and pick up this really entertaining tale!
