This review has been a long time in coming-I wanted to really live in this bible for awhile. I wanted to be in it's pages on a regular basis to get a feel for this version (CSB) and the unique format that the She Reads Truth staff brought to the table in the gorgeous rendition of the scriptures. I had my eye out on this bible even before the pre-release was announced. I happened to stumble across these beautiful linen bound bibles on Christianbook.com and couldn't wait to hear more about it! Then a month or so later, She Reads Truth made their grand announcement about their big project and I was able to see a video preview about it. I already have a *few* personal bibles, but I was pretty sure this was a necessary addition. I also knew it would make an amazing gift option for my girl friends. I had it on my birthday list just before I was given the opportunity to review it for my blog. I Love this bible. The linen binding, though maybe hard to keep clean in a house of grimy little hands, is an attractive introduction to this bible. I have the grey edition and love the contrast of the gold foil details and the two ribbon bookmarks. "Women in the Word of God every day"- this is She Reads Truth motto and lifeblood and I have witnessed them prove it true by making available solid biblical teaching in an deeply beautiful format through the multiple bible studies they have offered through the years. This carries seamlessly over to this bible. No, creatively calligraphed key verses at the start of each book of the bible isn't necessary, but I would heartily offer that it is God glorifying. I feel that the maps, timelines and supplemental reading plans for each book is the perfect balance to enhance rather than distract. I have been blessed by the devotionals I've run across while reading through the scriptures. I have been listening to John Piper's "Reading the Bible Supernaturally" on audiobook while doing my household chores and have been really challenged and encouraged by the fact driven home of what an amazing privilege we have to be given Divine revelation and even Christ's joy itself thru the simple and everyday act of reading. Piper talks of how opening the Word of God is our chance to have our eyes open to God's Glory, but not to stop there- to See and Savor. I appreciate this bible as an invitation to clearly see- I have been really impressed with the clarity of the Christian Standard text. Also, the added beauty scattered through pages seem to act as a chance to pause and savor the revealed Glory through the surrounding scriptures. Bravo, She Reads Truth on a stand out bible! Thanks so much to B&H publishing for providing me with this bible to review.

If you are a fan of She Reads Truth, then you will absolutely fall in love with this gorgeous Bible. Not that the Bible needs any additional help for you to fall in love with it, but reading something that is as pretty on the outside as it is on the inside never hurts ;)  I've been a fan of the website and it's corresponding app for a long time now, and when I saw that the authors created a beautiful Bible, chock full of Bible studies, Bible reading plans, and creative writing of verses, I was so excited to try it out!  Sometimes it can be difficult to decide where exactly to begin reading the Bible. Start with a specific book, chapter or verse...or just let your Bible fall open and read the verse your finger lands on. Well this Bible is an amazing tool that will help you figure out how to go about reading the Bible. It will make you fall in love with reading God's word, which is the most important thing! This Bible really is wonderful and one I plan to use for a very, very long time to aid in my time with God! Note: this Bible was given to me by the publisher in return of a honest review. All opinions are my own.

Recently, I've been using my She Reads Truth Bible during my quiet times. I was given a copy by Lifeway so that I could share my thoughts on the Bible with you all. But more than just being a beautiful Bible to review, this Bible is slowly helping me find some space in my life again.  There's something about this Bible that draws me to it. The simplicity of the cover. There's a reverence there for me with this Bible that I haven't felt in a long time. The translation, the CSB, is new to me also. It reads  And the accessibility of some of the history through the timelines and maps excite me!  While the Bible doesn't matter per say, finding a Bible that draws you towards Gods Word is so important. Right now, for this time and space in my life, the She Reads Truth Bible is what I needed. The devotionals have helped point me back towards scripture. I've already been writing notes and thoughts in the margin. There's a freedom for me in the simplicity of the pages that makes me want to fill them with all things.  One of the things I've thought about a lot this past month is the idea of freedom. Of being free enough to be me - if I want to dance or clap during worship. Or to embrace the personality that God has given me. To feel comfortable in my own skin. And digging into the word of God brings me to a place where I can find that freedom. It's only given by Him. And it's only found in Him. And for today, the She Reads Truth Bible is helping me find a little bit more of that freedom. I received a copy of the She Reads Truth Bible from Lifeway. This review is my own, honest opinion.

I am very impressed with this CSB Bible and I am enjoying reading and studying with it. I have been reading through the book of John so that I could get a feel for the study plan included in the beginning of each book of the Bible. I like the way the chapters are divided out daily in the plan listed at the beginning of each book. This plan also includes a couple of additional reading suggestions for each day that come from other books in the Bible as a way to dig deeper. The devotionals that are spread throughout this Bible are very nicely written, encouraging, and helpful. The She Reads Truth Bible has two ribbons, which is a convenient feature. I also like the way the books of the Bible are color coded at the beginning of each book as a way of clearly showing what genre each book is in. This information is located toward the back of the Bible, and it took me a while to find it. I would have liked to see this genre guide toward the front of the Bible so that I did not have to search for it. Things that I struggle with in this Bible are ones that I am learning to adjust to. The pages are very thin, so sometimes I feel that I can see through the page too easily. I would also prefer a slightly larger font size. My eyes feel the strain after reading this size of font for too long. But, overall, this is a Bible that I am really enjoying sitting down and studying with. I will be continuing to use it in my Bible study. (4.5 stars) I received a complimentary copy of this Bible. All opinions are my own.
