Es madre afortunada de Paula y tía de estupendos sobrinos, todos manantiales inagotables de inspiración para escribir sobre el mundo de los niños, que tiene su propio ritmo y su propia luz.

Su padre le regaló el amor por los idiomas, por eso este cuento en español y en inglés. Es interesante para los niños, como fuente de curiosidad intelectual, ver escrito en otro idioma un cuento que les guste.

María Virginia Barrós es también la ilustradora porque tuvo la buena estrella de educarse en la “Escuela Comunitaria” de San Antonio de los Altos. Escuela rodeada del encanto especial de verlo todo a través del caleidoscopio del color. Alejandro Otero, Mercedes Pardo y Samuel Baroni conformaron la paleta inicial de su formación de las artes plásticas.
