Overview

before I picked this book up and read it, I was in progress with a book of my own. Both books were so similar that I wondered if they were the same. Cujo is a rabid 200 pound saint bernard that gets possessed by rabies and kills the folks in Castle rock. I woudnt say what he killed, where he got rabid or none of that because I don't want to give the plot away. My book was something off this, but there were diffrences. Mine was about a teenager who gets possessed, not actually rabid, and kills. But in Cujo, things set on the dogs point of view most of the time and it's a bit scary. How do you know what a dog is thinking? King gives his best and I thank him for being on the border of a dog's mind. I really don't know what a dog is thinking, but like I said, King was close to it then the writers who put 'What's going on Billy?' or ' Throw the ball master!'In my book(I'm combinding them if you haven't noticed. Basically just for fun)the boy feels these things because he is depressed and wants to kill hsi family because they caused his misery and you can actually feel his thoughts because if you are a teen or you were I bet you felt his emotions of 'the world would be better if you were dead, dad.' His books are scary, but this book wasnt. It was gory, but it wasnt really made to scare you as bad as It or The shinning or anythig else. This is my opinion of the story. The gore was a bit strong, but if you re-read the book, the gore feelign will soon wear off, the cause of not such a scary book at all. Cujo is a great book, but King wouldve made it better. Heck, I wouldve made mine better too! Th ending, however threw me off as so did some reviewers. It wasnt the ending that I was looking for and the movie was better.(Can't say nothing there!) I guarentee you read this and check it out for yourself. I give tihs book 5 stars...god that was a lot of writing...
