Over the years, many people have asked me to provide English translations...

This is a unique and fun french reader written in blog format. It contains short, personal narratives in French and English so you can use them to improve your language skills. What makes them fun is that they're about things that happen to normal people told in a normal and often conversational manner so you can experience french as it's commonly spoken. While it's short and really just an introduction to her blog and other offerings, it's an excellent introduction to a perfectly new way to improve your french language skills. Be aware, the title, pretty much says it all. You would use this to ¿cultivate¿ your french. It's not a tutorial, dictionary or step-by-step french reader.

How can a reviewer both say that s/he doesn't know what the product is and then give it a 2 star? And others find this helpful? Actually this product is a collection of useful anecdotes, stories and conversations in real (Parisian) French along with a translation in English. Very useful for being able to follow conversations in French if you're going there. And maybe for saying something too! Hard to find another way other than by listening to movie sound tracks. This is cool.

It's been a few years since I formally studied French, yet I found this e-book to be quite useful. I would work my way through each story and then use the English translation to see how closely I came to comprehending the text, which I must say I did very well though not perfectly. This book could also serve as a nifty vocabulary builder or as a practice text for those who are stronger at reading and writing, but need to develop more confidence in speaking.

I thought it would be good to get. However this is more for when a person who has mastered the language and wants practice. P.S. a good way to learn french is to take a french Bible and a english Bible then compare them.

It was very confusing and did not get me anywhere near learning the language. I would reccomend you not waste your time in buying this. You will be very dissapointed with the results. Mercy. (And no, I did not learn that from this book. Those to you that do not know what it means, it is the french translation of thank you.)

I love the french language. I myself am part french. I did not find this book very useful unless you know all french pronunciations. To me it was extremely confusing. The only reason that I gave it a two was because my grandfather could read the most part of it because when he was younger that is pretty much all that he spoke. All I wanted from this book was to prepare for my french class next year. I was not very impressed with this book and would not recomend it unless you are pretty fluent in the french language. I've always wanted to learn french and perhaps eventually be fluent in it. Sadly this book did not help at all so I might as well stick to my dictionary at home because while it is still pretty confusing it at least gives some pronunciations. I am very sorry to say that I did not enjoy this book, and I love love love almost every book that I have read. Please do not waste your time on this book. I know the old saying, don't ever judje a book by its cover, but take my word for it, I have read it and obviously, from my review did not enjoy it. Please don't think I'm being rude, I just have a very strong opinion and would like to share it with other readers of my review. Thank you so much for reading my response to this book, I apoligize a million times for my long-winded response, Sincerely, an anonymous and strongly opinionated reader of Cultivate Your French. Thank you again for reading my review. I hope it helps you in deciding whether or not to purchase this book. P.S. I myself if you couldn't tell would definently choose not to purchase Cultivate Your French.
