About the Author
Shortly after obtaining her degree in International Business from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Monica fulfilled a dream of being a missionary in Haiti. In Haiti, Monica learned that being a missionary was a mindset. Returning to the states, Monica continued her missionary outlook on life. She and Jared were married and settled in Tennessee, far from their immediate families. It was difficult navigating the many transitions in young adult life away from family and the strong faith communities they both knew in college.
While Monica experienced the many "firsts" of marriage, new jobs, moving and children, she noticed that she and many of her peers had the same need of community guidance. In a spirit of collaboration with the parishes in her diocese, Monica has applied her business knowledge and leadership experience to building family ministry. Monica writes to bring hope and encouragement to families wanting to live an authentic Catholic faith in a culture that often makes it difficult to do so. It is her great joy to journey with other families towards a deeper relationship with Christ.
