Lila Monroe had me from chapter one in this fun, quirky and oh so entertaining read about Poppy Hathaway and Dylan Griffin. Every time I read a book from this author I I think I have a new favourite and here I am thinking it again. If you need a love letter written or a grovelling apology then Poppy is the woman to see. Dylan wants her help to woo his first love, the one who got away. I loved Poppy and Dylan, both separately and particularly together. There was something about these two that got to me. They were so easy to like and relate to and it made for a great read. I loved the journey they travelled from employee, to friends and finally to lovers. Lila Monroe is an author who knocks romantic comedy books out of the park. Her books are, sweet, spicy, romantic and so funny that you cannot help but fall in love with her characters and her stories. I never fail to smile when I read a Lila Monroe book.

In Once Upon a Time in Bliss, Lexi Blake takes readers back to a time before Bliss became a safe haven for so many - one where they could be themselves and fully experience life in all its glory, without judgment and with the protection that seems to come with being in a town that is willing to fight for each and everyone of its members. In some ways, Nell Finn is the matriarch of Bliss, in the sense of what she believes in and how those ideals seem to transfer to the town as a whole, so being able to get into her head and understand her through her own perspective allowed readers to truly see what drives her, what frames her outlook on life, and what has her offering assistance to anyone who needs it. Henry Flanders has always been an intriguing character, so to see how Henry came to be as well as the man he was before he arrived in Bliss and saw Nell for the amazing woman she is brought things full circle. What I found most interesting about the dynamics of Henry and Nell is just how different their outlooks were and how finding what they both desperately needed in each other allows them to transform into the characters readers have seen throughout this entire series. Being back in Bliss, Colorado, always feels like returning home, catching up with old friends and being introduced to new residents who are sure to bring a bit of danger and mystery to this already unusual and quirky town. But in Nell and Henry’s story, readers get to see the path that was taken to shape Bliss’ present-day and how important its history is for understanding both the town and its inhabitants. 4 Poison Apples

Cupids Anonymous by Lila Monroe is a standalone brand new romantic comedy about a modern day Cyrano and how she falls prey to her own machinations. Well-written and well-paced, told in dual POV, this sweet romance will have you laughing at the situations Poppy manages to get herself into and swooning when the guy finally realizes what is in front of him and goes for it! Poppy Hathaway is a modern day Cyrano de Bergerac. Writing love letters for her clients, staging romantic dates, and anything else that helps her clients get out of their own way and give love a chance. Her best customer (and also her worst) is frequent flier, Dylan Griffin. SHe helps him reel in the ladies and also helps him let them down easy. Dylan isn't one for longevity in a relationship but he is honest and open about it so no harm no foul. When Poppy's scheming on his behalf opens his eyes to what really matters to him when it comes to affairs of the heart can he manage to get out of his own way before he loses her? Loved this! Enjoy!

Every book I read by Lila Monroe just gets better and better! Cupids Anonymous is a playful and swoony insta-hit that gives all the sizzling and lighthearted feels. Poppy and Dylan were fantastic characters! After reading the sneak peek at the end of Frisky Business, I knew we were in for a real treat and couldn’t wait to read their story. Although Poppy and Dylan’s connection was initially professional, their relationship effortlessly transitioned to a quirky friendship that had its fair share of comedic moments and flirty sexual tension. Their character growth matched perfectly with the unique storyline, and portrayed both characters strengths and weaknesses as strong plot points within the story. Now usually I fall head-over-heels for every male character written by the author. But in this book, Poppy stole my heart completely! Her personality and optimistic outlook on relationships and love was super infectious, but it was her hardworking determination to achieve professional success on her own that really showed how strong of a character she really was. Don’t get me wrong, I go weak in the knees for a reformed playboy character, like Dylan, but Poppy was a breath of fresh air and I couldn’t help but love her. Cupids Anonymous is the perfect summer rom-com, a fun and charming must-read that will leave you smiling from ear to ear!

Just looking at this cover I smiled and did not even think twice about merging it to read and review after all I'm a super fan of the light and sexy writing of Lila Monroe too. Poppy uses her creativity to help those who are passionate or desirous of affair who do not know what to say to conquer a crush. She creates letters, notes, declarations of love and requests for marriage a la Cyrano de Bergerac and makes good money from it. What she did not expect was that by helping the conqueror Dylan she would also succumb to his charms. Dylan uses his charm and the words of Poppy to attract a huge range of women and to dispense them too, but the target this time is an old high school crush that does not give a damn about the guy's charm. Dylan knows he'll need plenty of ammunition to convince Jasmine that he's the right guy for her. He ball a plan and involves Poppy in the move but as they open up to each other the attraction and connection grows and he will need to decide who is right girl for him. A fun romantic comedy that could well turn into a movie full of funny and embarrassing moments as well as very romantic scenes. Great request to relax the mind and put a big smile on the face. Lila Monroe does not fail!

Fun, Fun, Fun! Hilarious, snarky, and LOL perfection! Poppy and Dylan were so fresh, everything executed with perfect timing which had me laughing or smiling through the entire book. Poppy’s job is a professional purveyor of the written word, or a Cyrano. She can write up a love poem, a juicy text, a memorable wedding toast, or even an apology love note. Her latest job has her tied to Dylan, a chronic manwhore or as she lovingly refers to- “my current gig as Dylan’s literary gigolo”. Ah, yes, Dylan. A man who is and has currently and frequently used Poppy’s services because he likes the ladies and ladies like him. However, his current infatuation is proving to be a tougher nut to crack. An old high school crush. This requires Poppy’s services twenty-four/seven. Plot twist… Did someone say, douchey ex-boyfriend? Poppy may know just what to say to win over someone else’s heart, but she doesn’t exactly know what to say when it comes to her own. Dylan and Poppy both seem to be up a creek, in a canoe, with no paddle in this new situation. Who will come to their rescue? Maybe in this instance no words spoken are just better…let’s leave them alone in the canoe, floating up a creek…for some alone time. Cupids Anonymous is so much fun, I dare you not to enjoy this ROTFLOL hilarious new romantic comedy!

I was hooked from the very first page to the last line of this fun, quirky entertaining read staring Poppy Hathaway and Dylan Griffin. Poppy is a professional Cyrano and if you need a love letter or a heartfelt apology she is the woman to go too. Dylan needs her help to woo the woman that got away, his first love but will Poppy succeed in getting the woman he thought was the love of his life back or will this couple fall head over heels in love with each other...... This author is fast becoming the queen of romantic comedy, her books are captivating, sweet, funny, romantic with banter that flows so naturally add in the adorable characters and you get a great read. Lila Monroe has once again left me smiling like a Cheshire Cat and excited for what’s coming next.

This is such a fun idea, hire someone to write the words you can’t quite say yourself. And Poppy has quite the knack at doing just that. Her most consistent and constant client, Dylan, hires her for everything, and what seems like all the girls. Somewhere along the way though, work turned into friendship, and hard as they try to fight it, a whole lot more. I totally loved their back and forth banter, the fun they had, his absolute charisma and her heart. And excellent read from Lila Monroe

I feel like I’m on rinse, repeat because I say it every time I read one of Lila Monroe’s laugh out loud romantic comedies. She is becoming the Queen of Snarky with her lead female characters who know how to put the lead male character in his place Every. Time. Cupids Anonymous is another entertaining read and a recommendation to not be drinking anything when reading it because there are moments when you are going to be caught off guard laughing so hard. Being inside Poppy’s head as she is trying to get her business off the ground and taking a break from guys in general after the last boyfriend will have you raising your hand for a high-five. Dylan is your typical wealthy player until he realizes Poppy brings out more in him than his standard one-week girlfriend. When these two finally get together, the heat level is at inferno. Not only do I love the comic relief Ms. Monroe puts in her stories. It’s also the fact that she doesn’t drag out the drama. Her mix of comedy with just a smidge of angst makes me coming back each time and one-clicking. If you haven’t taken the time to read one of her books, I believe you are truly missing something special.

Poppy and Dylan are just so ...... *swoon* I don't know how Lila Monroe does it, but each new book has a fresh feel to it. I've read other rom-com's where the characters and/or situations start to feel very 'samey', but I never get that feel with this author. I would have read Cupids Anonymous in one sitting if sheer exhaustion hadn't made it impossible to focus on the plot. If I had one wish, I'd love to see the author shake up the standard rom-com formula. How, why and what happens after varies with each story, so it's not a huge issue. Just a little bit of me would love to see it move away from that set path. This was just such a warm hug of a story, yes there's some angst, certainly there's lots of lust and of course (since it's a rom-com) there are plenty of laughs along the way. However whilst the emotions are there to feel and experience, you are not put through the wringer. Instead you are gently caressed by them as you take this wonderful journey of mis-haps, mayhem, love and romance.

A new series from Lila Monroe, and it is starting out with a bang! Fair warning though, do not read this book in public unless you don't mind total strangers looking at you like you've lost your mind. Because you will laugh out loud, and I'm not talking a little chuckle, although Cupids Anonymous has those too, no, I'm talking about laughing til you snort. This book is absolutely hilarious and exactly what I needed for a weekend read. Then, to add to the hilarity, Ms Monroe gives us a swoon-worthy romance that is kind of friends to lovers and kind of a workplace romance. Dylan and Poppy have terrific chemistry whether they're dealing with wildlife or trying out new mattresses, and I love that the story has that required bit of angst, but it's not something over the top, and it makes perfect sense for the story and these characters. This author, with her crazy wonderful, feel so real characters, has become a go-to for me when I need a funny and romantic escape from reality, and this modern day Cyrano is just one more reason why.

This is the first book in Lila Monroe’s Cupid series of RomComs. Poppy Hathaway is a modern day Cyrano de Bergerac. If you need help writing a love letter, a poem to win over your Lady love, Poppy is your girl. One of Poppy’s most frequent customers is Dylan Calloway, Billionaire Playboy hotelier. Normally Dylan is a quick fling kind of guy, but when he sees Jasmine, his high school crush, he enlists Poppy to help win he over. While Poppy helps Dylan woo the beautiful Jasmine, she cannot fight her own attraction to Dylan. I loved both Dylan and Poppy. Poppy is sweet and a little goofy. Dylan comes across as a bit arrogant, but as the story unfolds, you realize he is great guy who is insecure like most people. This story has a lot of laughs and is the perfect summer read! I was given an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review

This is a perfect summer read. Cupids Anonymous by Lila Monroe was a fabulously funny story. The main characters gave me a heart-warming feeling whilst reading their story, even if Dylan started out as a bit of a ladies man. He soon changed his tune though, once he opened his eyes and saw the real Poppy, not the Cyrano to his love life. From the outset, their chemistry was undeniably hot and only got hotter the longer they spent time in each other’s company. It’s filled with sexy innuendo, sassy banter and two people just made for each other. Except: Poppy isn’t the woman that Dylan was meant to be lusting after. He’d set his sights elsewhere, but fate and time away from outside influences helped him see the truth. Poppy knows she shouldn’t be looking at her client the way she does, and if not for that one electrifying kiss she might not. She’s been hired to help Dylan shmooze his next conquest, but, what if she wants to be that conquest. And a whole lot more? I got all the happy feels with this story, it’s dynamics were spot on, from the interactions of the cast, main and secondary alike, to the small amount of angst, I just wanted to keep reading. This is one for a long, hot weekend read. Grab your copy today.

Absolutely adorable! Cupids Anonymous is a fun and funny read. The banter between Poppy and Dylan--whether when they're working together, acting as friends, or something more--is fantastic. Both Poppy and Dylan's internal dialog was pretty darn funny too. Okay, I'll admit it, there was more than a little snort-laughing going on while I was reading this one. I'm not sure what has taken me so long to read a Lila Monroe book, but you'd better believe it won't be my last! I loved watching both of them work toward fixing Dylan up with his high school crush even as they tried to deny that there was anything going on between them--seeing Dylan go from unabashed playboy to one-woman-man was very satisfying. Fingers crossed that future books will feature Poppy's two very single BFFs (I'm pretty sure one of them was hinted at toward the end of this one) because I am so here for that. Ms. Monroe clearly has a talent for rom-coms, and I can't think of a time when I'm not in the mood for a good rom-com in the vein of Cupids Anonymous. Plus, there was cake. And donuts. And more cake. Really, I'm not sure what more you could want...except maybe cake IRL while you're reading this book? ;) Rating: 4 stars / A- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Oh yes!! A brand new series from Ms. Monroe!! A modern take on Cyrano, with a bit of a twist. This is Poppy and Dylan's story.  Poppy is a modern day Cyrano.  And her top client is Dylan. As with all of Ms. Monroe's stories, you are going to laugh, you are gonna get a little misty and you are gonna swoon! I so enjoyed Poppy, she is like the best friend I wish I had.  She felt real and imperfectly perfect.  She didn't apologize for her "shortcomings" heck, she embraced them and made them rock! Dylan is a blind fool! He is the meaning of the saying "You can't see the forest through the trees".  But he redeems himself beautifully albeit almost too late, but that's just the bit of angst that I enjoy in a story. I was so excited to see this new series from Ms. Monroe and I cannot wait to see who's story she comes out with next!

What an absolutely entertaining book! It was incredibly fun reading it and the banter was hilarious at times! I loved the general premise of the story and thought the characters had great friendships which made me want to be friends with them! I really genuinely liked Poppy, her ability to give her clients the romance they need in their lives! Such an interesting job I think! Dylan, that man, hotelier, charming and a bit of a player but also rather endearing! When he asks Poppy to help him get a certain woman to fall in love with him, needless to say they both don’t see what’s really going to happen! I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful book! It was lighthearted and easy to read and made my day

Engaging, fun read. Interactions between good friends, leads to romance and an HEA. A Cyrano to lovers story, plenty of humor, angst and steam. Put this on your read list.

Author Lila Monroe can be counted on to provide a lighthearted, entertaining escape in every book she publishes. Cupid’s arrow hits the bull’s eye with the author’s latest novella, Cupids Anonymous. Poppy’s business as a modern day Cyrano de Bergerac fulfills her romantic tendencies without having to risk the pain of heartbreak. It doesn’t, however, prevent the pain of dealing with a womanizer like Dylan Griffin, who happens to be her best customer. Poppy and Dylan are great charters, both individually and together. They’re realistic and relatable. Their banter is fun, and as their relationship evolves from business to friendship to more, the chemistry explodes. The plot is well paced, and the relationship development felt organic. In one of my favorite scenes, Poppy calls out Dylan on the real impetus for pursing his high school crush. She proves her understanding of people in general and especially of her clients. Cupids Anonymous is fun and funny with a dash of romance and a pinch of conflict. A message of self-discovery and acceptance is very subtly embedded in the story. I enjoyed both the primary and secondary characters from vapid Jasmine to misunderstood Dylan to ebullient Sarah. This is an adorable start to a new series.
