Cure Or Die
Book 3 in the Damaged Goods Mystery Series
Certified Process Server Jackie Parker could do a case study in bizarre human behavior. Like the time the Damaged Goods property management team found a man fermenting his own fecal matter to get high. Or the angry downstairs tenant who threatened to spit on her. And that was just one building in the Miami art’s district.
Returning to the scene of the crime a year later at the request of the landlord, Jackie believes she’s ready for anything. Since Logan, A.K.A. the Dark Prince, left the team, she and Luke have gone through an amicable divorce and maybe just this one time she can manage to not land face first in something foul. But what they find in the vacated apartment is far worse than on their earlier visit and Jackie’s situation is about to get a whole lot messier.
Don’t miss the epic finale to the Damaged Goods trilogy, it’s a laugh a minute and what readers describe as “More addictive than krockodil!”

[ I received this book free from the author as part of her advance read team. I thank her for her generousity. In exchange, I was simply asked to write an honest review, and post it. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising] "The thing about lying though, it only works if you believe the lie to be the truth. I could fool plenty of people, just not myself" Since we last saw our intrepid hero a lot of things have happened...however, as we all have discovered with this trio, the more things change.... Jackie's still with Damaged Goods serving forclosures and whatever else is needed. Sasquatch, the world's biggest dog, and Abu, the world's most neurotic monkey are still around. So's Luke. But no one's seen or heard from Logan since Christmas. Has absence made the heart grow founder for The Dark Prince? It's Jackie, she's not even sure if Luke's broken their news to his parents.... This book fills in some of the backstories of this triumverate: how they met, why things happened to bring them to this time, how bad things were for Jackie growing up, and how she survived. It brings you to the conclusion that these three will be around-together in some fashion, forever throwing sticks for that demanding canine, and saving each other's behinds when needed I really have grown to care for these characters. I simply could not put this book down until the very last page. And now, after I'm done, I want to go back and read it all over again! Don't have any other plans for the time you read Jennifer Hart's books, because you'll forget everything else!
Such an intriguing story. We had to wait ages for it and it was really well worth the wait. Loved it! Loved Jackies antics, Logan's brooding strength and Luke's loving and understanding nature. Oh, the twists and turns that held my attention! And the flashbacks ... They filled in the past and made the characters more meaty. This is one of those un-put-downable books. It reads quick and easy. I've heard tell that it is the last book in this series, but there is so much potential with these three characters that maybe a spinoff is in order, please Jennifer. I received this advance copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
