About the Author
Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in numerous languages. And many, many Curious George books have followed.

I was disappointed that I could not open the book. My tablet has the nook ap, but not all books open and this is one of three I purchased and was unable to open.
The negative rating has nothing to do with the Curious George book or author it has EVERYTHING to do with the nook layout of this book. It was horrible. You had a distant view of the book with the words retyped for you below the picture of the page. Not what I was expecting. I wanted the book to be full page and read the words out of the book not retyped. Not to mention the retyped words were so spread out they didn't line up with the original page.
The whole series is great for children of all ages
