Ainsley was raised as a human in a mixed community (shifter/human). No one explained her “other” side, and what to expect. During puberty, her other side takes control while she is with her boyfriend. He ends up horribly killed by what was reported as a bear attack, but she knew better. Trying to escape that part of her, she leaves for college with plans to never return. The death of her parents in an auto accident brings her back. Her father was the alpha, the mantle falls to her. She must find a mate to take over. Not. Happening. However, she does return to close the house and her father's college professor office. The entire town treats her with deference or disdain. The men seem to fall all over themselves, trying to fall all over her. She just wants to leave. Thank goodness for Erik, or maybe not. She is drawn to him, her father may or may not have chosen him for her, now she needs a friend, not a lover. This story will draw you in as both the reader and Ainsley learn about her past, her duty, her parents roles and questionable deaths. She fights her nature and her desires. Ms. Black has created a new dimension of shape shifters in the town of Tarkar's Hallow. The sexual side of their nature is strongly related to the politics of the leader and the obligations of the heir. There is plenty of steam or should I say steamy steam. The characters, both shifter and human, are strong with the need to either hate or love them or in some cases, the ability to hide their true nature until the dire conclusion. I didn't figure out the real bad guy or gal until they were revealed during the read. Compelling all the way. Ainsley learns the danger she is in, good thing her friends is a local cop. However, as a human, their limitations, or is she human? There is a joy when she finally gives rein to her other half and literally frolics with Erik. That scene is one of my favorite in the entire series. Don't miss this exciting, touching, mystery, and love story all in one yummy package. I strongly recommend this to all romance, PRN, and shifter readers--or anyone who wants a good book to try out the genre.

I guess I wasn't as imoressed as everyone else. I found myself skimming pages, as the female lead kinda pissed me off. She ignired her parents fir years? She acted like she didn't care at all for the people she grew up around. She "wasn't" a wolf, but constantly said you know what I am. I can take care of myself. It also got bogged down in repeatedly saying the same thoughts and feelings.

First thing first, I am not going to give spoilers because I strongly believe that you need to read this boxed set for yourself. Just know that getting the boxed set is perhaps the best way to go (at least for me). Each episode ends in some kind of cliffhanger so you are going to want to keep reading! I will tell you this, Ainsley is not your typical female protagonist. She is intelligent, ambitious, and independent. She is not a helpless female who is waiting for a man to save her. She can be a bit stubborn, but once she starts putting things together, she knows what she has to do. That is what I really liked about this series. Its not about an alpha male wolf, its about an alpha female. These books have a little a bit of everything. There is a action, there is compassion through friendship, a love story, and a scene that will have you fanning yourself because it is hot! I highly recommend that you read this series. I am looking forward to reading the upcoming episodes!

What a fantastic bundle of 6 episodes of the Curse of the 'Alpha'! .. If you love contemporary fiction, no matter the genre like I do, but especially love shifters, werewolves, paranormal, supernatural or fantasy with romantic suspense, you need to grab this set of must read books! ... The characters are well developed and the details & descriptions pull you right into each story keeping the reader engaged & wanting more!... Ms. Black delivers great hot and sexy love scenes, plenty of surprises, and twists & turns that keep the pages turning & anticipation high!! ... I so did not want to stop reading whenever I had to do something else :o ... I was fortunate enough to have been given these episodes to read in exchange for honest reviews, but I honestly love this series so much, that I bought a copy to keep for my own collection :D

I couldn't put it down!! This was an awesome story so make sure you buy the bundle. This is a story about Ainsley Connor who comes home to Tarker's Hollow after her parents died. She is trying to get in & out of town as quickly as possible only to find out that she has to "draw the alpha" of the next leader of the pack. She learns that her father, the previous alpha, wanted her to choose Erik Jensen as her mate. She rebels against the thought even though she is drawn to him. She meets a human, Julian, that piques her interest & she goes to a seminar that he is leading. They go for a walk after the seminar & end up in the sheets for some steamy fun. After her night with Julian, she has another date with him where she finds him snooping in her father's library. He stops her from shifting in to her wolf. She decides that she is going to choose the sheriff, Clive, to be the next alpha. At dinner with him, he devours the steaks that were made & when they go upstairs, things take an unexpected turn. Not to spoil the story, but Ainsley finally embraces her wolf, gets her man & the new alpha is chosen.

Title : Curse of the Alpha Bundle Episode's 1 thru 6 Author : Tasha Black Reviewed by : Stephanie Jordan ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? As I started my first episode I realized I didn't want to stop reading as I had planned. Ms. Black had me hooked and there was no way I was putting this book down. Each page that she wrote seemed to be free-flowing page by page. Episode 1 Ainsley Conner was a real estate agent from New York, Manhattan to be exact. Ainsley never wanted to leave, than she was told here Mother and Father had a car accident and died. So here she was back in Tarker's Hollow the same town she never wanted to come back too. The same town she ran from, and run she did, she ran because she was going to college and her parents just told her, she was a WOLF. After the funeral the beta of the Pack told Ainsley that being her dad was Alpha this meant she had to MATE someone to make him Alpha. Julian Magie ( a Russian Lit Professor ) was interesting Ainsley thought why not she deserved some fun. Episode 2 Someone broke into the house, plus the office at the college Ainsley has no idea what they wanted or if they got anything. Several people came to help her clean and moving furniture, each day it would be cleaning , stacking books and going through everything. One night she woke and her wolf went into protect mode slowly she went downstairs and saw a blue light. Who was it? Episode 3 Ainsley has to pick an Alpha but who? She is always thinking about Erik Jensen but she shouldn't because Erik keeps telling her to pick Clive Warren as Alpha. But things start to happen and it doesn't make scene to her Grace told her her mom was a witch. Ainsley Conner could be a witch.... Witches are real....Warlocks were real.... Episode 4 Clive , Clive , Clive should I be with Clive? Should he be Alpha? Should I be his Mate? I mean he is the sheriff and he's honorable, can I love him.. Well he coming over tonight I guess I will know then? But I can't stop thinking about Erik.... What do I do? Episode 5 Ainsley was running strange things were happening to her. She didn't understand how or why but she was seeing thing that can't be real. Clive was mad at her and chasing her. So she kept running , bumping into Erik's wolf. Ainsley was so scared then the wolf turned into Erik and she was in his arms. Ainsley and Erik ran to there childhood cave but Clive was still chasing them. Ainsley knew she had to save Erik. And magic helped. Episode 6 Ainsley Conner's was a witch and with Erik's help she learned to shift and now she was a wolf. This last episode ties everything together, so if I was to say anymore I would spoil it for you to read. And believe me it was hard to review every episode and not spoil it. This most definitely is a must read. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

Curse of the Alpha, the complete bundle is exciting and full of twist and turns. If you do not reading episodes I suggest you grab the bundle and that way you can read from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed the characters Ainsley and Eric but find yourself enjoying all the residents of Tarker's Mills. The characters are deliciously written and well develop. The story builds to show their special traits, their creativity and their desire to save their town and pack. Ainsley learns more about her past, her family and this wonderful little town. She learns she still has family, growing powers that she is unaware of and this in turn makes her think more about embracing her future and picking a mate. Tasha definitely shows her creativity and imagination in this series. She keeps you engrossed in the characters and you become so enthralled that you just can't stop reading until you find out the ending. The story is wonderful and a definite read. I really enjoyed this and feel you will too.

Thank goodness I read this as a boxset & not in seperate episodes, it was a quick read per episode that left me hanging to read the next part... especially when they were left on a cliffhanger!! Imagine living in a small town, protected by your parents but not knowing what you truely are.... Imagine learning that your a werewolf after something terrible happens, it scars the crap out of you & you run. You force yourself not to change because of something that 10 years laters still haunts your dreams. It was a lovely change in the alpha requirement being hereditary & not a fight to death, meaning our leading lady was already aplha (not that she wants to be at the start)... Chosing the next alpha really didn't differ either, having no choice but to find a mate either way & not knowing all the lop holes on how an Alpha is made was kinda rough on Ainsley. How do you chose someone to be alpha when you haven't seen them for years?? Can you gaurentee they will be best for the job?? do whats best for the town?? cary on with what the previous alpha had planed for the community?? I'm not going to give you answers to these, you'll have to read the series yourself!! All I can say is I found myself finishing the 6th episode around 1.30am this morning (having read them al in 1 sitting) & I have a book hangover. Thank you Tasha Black for an awesome read... has me wondering though were this series is headed after the cliffhanger????
