The book is right around 300 pages. There are not any sex scenes, but does have kissing scenes. There is some violence throughout the book. The book would be appropriate for young teens & older. That being said, this is an enjoyable read with charactors the you'll like. Claire is young and learning to grow up while Farron has a past he's doing his best to keep hidden. Through circumstances left better to be read in the book, they meet up and begin a journey together to find out the meaing of the mysterious marking that has suddenly appeared on Claire's wrist. But, maybe, Farron already knows.

The main character, Claire, was pretty frustrating, overly naive and just plain stubborn sometimes that I would literally be yelling at her in my mind. But the elves more than made up for her stupidity. All in all I enjoyed and will buy the next book.

I LOVED this book! Claire is such a captivating main character. Aspects of this book reminded me of a book by Penelope King, called A Demon Made Me Do It. Stockton and the Dove Town or whatever it was are similar. They're just your regular, run-of-the-mill towns. Then out of the blue, POOF! Magic, evil creatures galore! The elves in this book are scintillating as well, with their emotion-void expressions. Then there are the two Besties, Aeron and Farron. Like I said, the characters stole my heart.

Amazing book could make great movie hope some one does. Hope that if someone does they make no major changes. I think it should be an all star cast with sevral actors and actresses from the lord of the rings i mean wouldn't it be a good movie? Hope that a derector or actor reads this an takes action. :-)
