The Cutting Design Web Design book is a great book for visual reference. It has many examples of incredibly artistic websites. However, these sites, although beautiful, are strictly that - beautiful. These sites are not examples of practical nor professional sites. This book should inspire one to create visually intense and fresh websites. As far a practical content, there isn't much. No walk-through or thought process from the designer. Overall, this book is good for inspiration and reference for artist websites, not business or professional websites.
