About the Author

Coralie Fennell was born in Dargaville, Northland, New Zealand, in 1936.

She left Dargaville and arrived in Auckland to train as a Classical singer under Dame Sister Mary Leo. Amongst other awards and musical achievements she won (jointly with Bruce Cleland) the Northland Shield for Light Opera.

In 1962, she married Tony Fennell and had two sons and two daughters.

Coralie later extended her talents to include short story writing, which recently brought her publishing success, having achieved two stories featured in a book of collective short stories, 'Writers in the Library;' one read on National Radio and Planet FM; and more recently, several pieces in 'Views from the Bridge,' another book of short stories and poems written by collective writers.
