"D. Wayne is the first biography of America's premier horse trainer. Love him or notand few horse players are ambivalentLukas is racing's most successful trainer and has changed his sport. DeVito's richly detailed account is sympathetic but hardly uncritical."Louisville Courier Journal

Most Helpful Customer Reviews
The telling of D. Wayne Lukas' life story is an interesting read, but the book could've used a good editor. There are numerous typos and mistakes of fact. I'm kind of surprised that a book could make it to print without being thoroughly proofed and if this one was, they need to get a new proofreader!
