Dad Panther was a great final chapter to the Panther trilogy. You have to read all three to understand the plot and characters but is well worth the investment if you have not read them. Each is about a 1 day quick read and build on the one before it. Ancient artifact bestows super powers on unsuspecting human. Human's life turns upside down, turns to Panther shifter for help. Hilarity ensues as they try to figure their life, each other, and their relationship all while trying to stay alive. Dad Panther is further into the story where our heroine finds herself preggers and Panther dad freaking out. I will admit this book threw me for a cure with its plot twist. Not where I thought it would go but glad it went there. I received a copy of this book for a fair honest review. Donna McDonald never lets me down. This book is no different. Enjoy!

Alien Guardians series is an excellent paranormal/romance/just plain cute read!! The four ancient blades find their hosts. These Earthlings are aided by the alien guardian Lyran race. But what makes a great story telling is that not everyone wants to play nice and get along. Axel is a hybrid lyran with Panther shifting talents. When he meets blade host Sugar Jennings it is a love that has brought twins to the couple. This series is best enjoyed from the beginning as the characters and the story line build. Other Blade hosts are also very unique and likable characters that hold their own personalities and strengths. Everything I have read by McDonald has been enjoyable and very creative. "A copy of this book was supplied by the author with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Delving into the sci-fi world of Donna! What a fantastic story. Lots of surprises and fun. Dad Panther focuses on Sugar and Axel, since Axel is the Dad Panther!, but we see all 4 blades in action. I like how the story covers more than one person and the lives going on around them. Sometimes keeping things secret because you think it will be better for everyone involved, is not the way to go, especially when you are dealing with the Blades. Much trust is broken and the healing process will be long.

I like to think of this story as ‘When Bad Panther Becomes Dad Panther, He Also Needs To Grow Up’. I won’t give any details as it works better to read and enjoy but let’s say that becoming a father, Axel of Rodu – with his mate Dr. Sugar Jennings, host of a Protector Blade and mother of his twins – is his usual self-involved, but lovable, self. Until Sugar and the other Blades find out some longstanding truths and beliefs of the Lyran people don’t really match up with the human beliefs (of the hosts of the four Blades). It’s a very simple explanation for a great story and it will take you up, down, and around again. I loved how the Blades all worked together, even when they didn’t know what the others were doing, and managed to once again save the day...or did they? Love how strong Sugar is and how she can be soft and caring one minute and a warrior the next. Enjoyed the book, love the twins and figure there is mischief of the kid variety going on even as I write this. Enjoyed the family characters, and the new Blade, and if you are looking to suspend belief for a time, these are the stories to do it.
