Mr. Bancroft's book, "Why Does He Do That?", literally saved my life. It restored my sanity by clearly defining an incredibly complex problem. I read and reread it over and over for reassurance which eventually turned into the courage to plan a departure from an abusive marriage. Mr. Bancroft is adept at describing the severity of emotional abuse which was invaluable to me and not often enough talked about. For too long, I believed that because I had no physical signs of abuse, that the cruelty, isolation and manipulation of myself and my children wasn't actually abuse at all. It is a sensitive, easy to read gift of clarity and support. This "Daily Wisdom" version is a great way to weave healthy perspective back into your life in order to regain a sense of control, self confidence and hope for the future.
