Damaged: The Ferro Family by H.M. Ward

New York Times, Wall Street Journal, & USA Today Bestseller!

Life sucks. And, as soon as Sidney picks up the pieces something always knocks her back onto her butt. It's never pretty, but this time is different. This time pretty isn't even the right word.

Peter is the personification of perfection. It's like he fell off his angel perch in purgatory, because let's face it--any guy that hot has got to be naughty. He was probably sent here to ruin her life.

Peter is beyond beautiful with his sexy blue eyes, dark hair, and toned body. Add in his charming wit and Peter is everything Sidney ever wanted in a man, but when things get hot and heavy Peter shows her the door. Sidney takes the walk of shame and leaves. It's the end of the worst blind date ever. Her life couldn't possibly reach higher levels of suckage, but it does.

The next morning everything comes crashing down. The insanely hot guy from last night, the one that saw her half naked, is teaching at the front of the class room.

Sick and tired of these hang in novels! Ya the story is great but waiting for 2-5 sequals I may be done with this author! Waste of time and money! Do yourself a favor when u read hm ward, either wait til series finished, or find a new author! Rather pay more to have complete novel than waiting months or a year for another bit!

A little dissappointed with yet another book with a cliffhanger that leaves the reader waiting for months to find out how the story unfolds. The story is good but the heroine is sometimes hard to like. She has very good reasons for being emotional, however the author often made her wallow in it to the point of overkill. I liked the story and wish it would have went to completion. I don't know that I will even be interested in following up on the story in a few months from now.

Dear Person Who Started This "wait months for the rest of the story", YOU SUCK! (Ok to the rest of you the book was really good, I recommend waiting a freaking year and then read all the installments at once) Sincerely, The Sucker Who Falls For This EVERY Time

Really despise plot spoilers who reveal everything in their uber long spoilers. One reviewer even quoted passages for god sake. Come on ppl, that is rude and inconsiderate. Bn, start fining these ppl and banning them from posting.

Holy hot for teacher!  Damaged is about a young girl who is, well, damaged. She's got a dark past that has closed her off emotionally and physically to all men. That is, until she goes on a blind date and meets Peter. She's instantly comfortable with Peter and finds herself wanting to kiss him, touch him, be close to him.  “Are you always this irresistible?” “Are you always this coy? Do you just flirt, leaving your lips way too close to a man that desperately wants to kiss you?” Their night progresses and she finds herself straddling him on his couch when he suddenly puts on the brakes and sends her packing. Confusing and sad, she goes home.  The next morning, when she arrives at school, she finds out that the teacher she TA's for passed away and she has a new teacher to work for. When she walks into the classroom, she spots HIM.  Peter’s the replacement professor. Peter’s a teacher. Peter’s my boss. Their relationship becomes, complicated as they attempt to ignore their feelings and attempt to keep their relationship professional, all while secrets are exposed between them.  I devoured this story. Ate it right up. It's one of those stories that you keep telling yourself, just one more chapter.

Only 174 pages of a far fetched romance. Seriously what Prof Student romance was ever taboo to the point it keeps lovers apart. There are more unlikely and farfetched scenarios. Dont waste your money on this one. Shocked it was rated so high

This author is crazy. Seeing this and all her other series, all i can say is "cash cow". Its not about the love or art of writting. Its about $$$$$$$$. I will not be giving my money up or recomending anyone else. Story is unoriginal. And not that great.

I absolutely loved this book. It was funny, romantic, heartbreaking. Everything wrapped up in a pretty package with a now on top. I also love the whole forbidden love situation. A must read.

This book amazed me. It has heartfelt raw emotion, conflict, humor, perplexing antagonists, and not predictable. Sidney and Paul both have troubled pasts but together they may just have a chance. I can't wait for book #2. An easy read to pass the time, finished it in a couple of hours, wishing for more. Soooon please!

The premise here is great. But the writing is quite juvenile. It does get a bit better by the end, but you will feel like you are reading it from a high schooler point of view. Really - it's that weak. I really hope that Ward can continue to improve because the story itself is a great plot.

I loved this book. I read this book in less than a day but i did not realize that it was part of a series and book 2 was not out. That is the reason i gave this book 4 stars intead of 5. But it is fast paced and there is never a dull moment. I could not put it down. Please hurry up with book 2. Anyone know the expected release date for Damaged 2?

There are these rare occasions in which Chapter One of a book will be what hooks me. Mostly I will know no later than Chapter five if I’m in lust with a book. Damaged has one of those rare first chapters. One that had me hook, line and sinker, with a smile from ear to ear. A fantastic way to start of a great book. It turns out that Damaged is the only possible title for this book. A book filled with damaged bodies, hearts and minds. Damaged spirits. This is a story with layers, both thick and thin; some so thin you can see clearly just how the damage stacks up. Sidney, our heroine, is a fantastic, multi-faceted character and it makes perfect sense that we be “in her head” during this story. I think it’s the only way to see how beautiful this broken soul really is. Wait and see, when you read this you will understand exactly what I mean. One minute we have a take charge Sidney and a few later we have a very skittish one. After reading that wonderful Chapter One you already know that this isn’t one of those hysterical drama-queens. There is so much under the surface. Peter is funny and outrageously handsome and had me giggling several times before chapter four. He is not, however, without his own secrets. His own damaged soul. Peter is a big box of chocolates. Like Forest said, “You never know what you’re gonna get.” I found him to be quite surprising. Here we have a book, a New Adult, college student book with plenty of tension and angst mixed in with humor and the kind of drama you have to expect from a romance novel. It’s a great read.

I was a little taken back but loved her story line. I felt for her since the first chapter. How she is masking all this pain inside but once she met Peter its like she felt safety for the first time in four years. I cant help but wonder the story with Mark...it feels like he is the way for her. I would like to see more of him, hopefully he makes an apperance in book 2. He caught my attention than Peter. Overall I enjoyed it:-)
