Justice is blind. Justine isn’t. Book two in the Saturn's Daughter series, in which Tina Clancy is gifted with the power to dispense justice...for good or evil.

Tina Clancy hardly has a chance to celebrate passing the bar exam when an explosion at Acme Chemical sends a noxious pink and green cloud billowing over Baltimore’s radioactive Zone. It is not as if the place was normal to begin with, but as the poisonous fumes overtake the sky, her neighbors start falling comatose—and Acme is plucking them off the streets faster than Tina and her friends can save them.

Just because Tina’s a lawyer now doesn’t mean she’s going to miraculously morph into a respectable, law-abiding citizen. She once accidentally damned her own boyfriend to hell, for heaven’s sake. Now that Max is back—in the body of his evil cousin, a U.S. senator with family ties to Acme—she needs him more than ever.

And what does it mean to be one of Saturn’s daughters? Tina knows she’s obligated to use her powers to save the Zone, no matter the cost, but there’s a real possibility that victory will happen over her dead body.

Damn Him To Hell was a quirky, fun adventure with a rag tag group of misfits facing against an evil foe. With the flare of Warner Brothers Looney Toons, this group will having you laughing out loud and holding on to the edge of your seat. Tina Clancy recently discovered her abilities as Saturn's daughter, she has can judge and condemn peoples souls to heaven or hell. Just earning her law degree, Tina is familiar with the judicial system but choosing an eternity for someone in hell is a totally different story. Her life seems to have a direction, starting a new job everything seems on track until her home, the Zone a district in Baltimore, comes under attack from a mysterious pink glittering fog that causes people to act out in violence then collapse into a coma like state. With an evil experimenting factory called Acme and a judge with a name like...well I'll let you discover that one for yourself...you can't take this story to serious. That being said, in the end, I was routing for the destruction of the diabolical, evil, demon possessed grandmother and for all the comatose victims to wake up.  A fun, original, and somewhat cartoonish story that sucks you in, Damn Him to Hell was an enjoyable humorous action packed read. 3.5 Stars This ARC copy of Damn Him to Hell was given to me by Pocket Books in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication June 25, 2013.

Tina finds her footing as a lawyer and a Zonie in this second book of the series. Some residents still remember the industrial accident that turned their Baltimore neighborhood into a place where electronics rarely work, gargoyles fly, dumpsters scuttle down back alleys. Acme corporation unleashes another environmental disaster while Tina and her friends are celebrating at Chesty's after she passes the bar exam; close friends fall victim to the noxious cloud rolling outwards from the factory, but this time, the incident is no accident. Tina joins forces with Andre Legrande, the unofficial mayor of the Zone, in an effort to track down the people responsible, while learning to hold herself responsible for her new powers as a Daughter of Saturn. There's sizzling chemistry between Tina and Andre, and we learn more about him through his family. Lieutenant Schwartz, Tina's hunky neighbor, remains a staunch ally in the fight against evil, and Max/Dane uses his influence as a senator to pull strings for them. His reincarnation is causing a tangle of problems for him, but the focus of the book is on Tina and Andre this time. The cast of secondary characters grows. To understand the circumstances and complex cast of characters, readers should start with Boyfriend from Hell. Recommended!
