Damning Evidence is a spine-tingling, tense, legal thriller by the author of the best-selling true crime book, The Sex Slave Murders.

Kate del Graten is a 41-year-old Assistant District Attorney in Portland, Oregon. She has become a workaholic since the death of her attorney husband less than a year earlier—leaving her alone to raise two teenagers.

On the job, Kate is vying with fellow Assistant District Attorney, Jerrod Wresler, for the position of Chief of the Homicide Division. Off the job, she has begun an affair with her late husband's law partner, Simon Leonard.

These worlds collide when Kate finds herself in the middle of two homicide cases. She is trying the case against a homicide detective charged with brutally murdering his ex-wife. Meanwhile, when her son is charged with murdering a young couple, Kate asks Simon to defend him against prosecutor Jerrod Wresler.

Kate then begins her own investigation to prove her son's innocence. It leads all the way to the D.A.'s office and her chief adversary—Jerrod Wresler. The twists and turns and unexpected results of Kate's double duty come to a head in a heart pounding, dramatic conclusion.

This is a story of surprising results to the various investigations. It is full of twists and turns which have the reader guessing. This book caught my attention from the beginning and held it throughout. It is well-written, fast moving, and suspenseful. There are a number of explicit sex episodes. The details of Victoria's murder are gruesome. The scenes portraying the serial killer are particularly blood-curdling. Despite this I would not hesitate to recommend Damning Evidence and I eagerly look forward to his second thriller.

Barri: I've just finished Damning Evidence and it was a thumping good read. I like reading thrillers (Higgins, Clancy,Patterson, et al) but, even with them, I find that the last half of the book is often a struggle and often the ending is unsatisfactory. Not with yours! It kept me entertained till the very last page. Thank you! Drop into my website if you get a chance! (www.homestead.com/ChildhoodHills ). Cheers, Pat Mullan author of CHILDHOOD HILLS (poetry) and two thrillers coming soon: OF CONSCIOUS EVIL and WHO KILLED HAMMARSKJOLD?

Kate (a single mother of two teenage children) finds herself in an awful situation, her son is charged with murdering a young couple. Kate's love, Simon, defends her son but to Kate it seems that Simon himself is not all that innocent... all those twists and turns in the plot make this book a real enjoyment. Absolutely worth reading. When I started reading this book it was just impossible to put it down. I had to read it all the way till the very last page the same day.
