I loved this book. I picked it up yesterday and didn't put it down until I finished it later in the day. It was an engaging read, a page turner, with many sub-plots that I enjoyed following and seeing resolved by the end of the book. For this writer's first book, I think she did an excellent job keeping the story alive and exciting. At the center of the story is a man, Jack McAlister, someone who appears to have it all, and through one wrong turn, his whole life comes crumbling around him. Because there were other intriguing elements in the book, it holds together really well, and one is not only following Jack's story but also that of Erica 'his mistress' as well as several other fascinating characters. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.
