About the Author:
Michael Shipler was born in New York City. As a child he lived in the Soviet Union, Israel and the United States and spent some time in Argentina. He studied political science and is now a youth worker. He has worked with young refugees from Haiti and Kosovo and has worked with youth in Northern Ireland and, most recently, in Cambodia. The Dancing Country and Other Stories is his first book.

Extremely irritating. Not for people who want serious stimulation, decent narrative, interesting insights, or to maintain the will to read. If you're looking for a way to despise yourself and all those around you, read this book and enjoy stewing. And I normally like things like this.
