In #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel van Dyken’s scorching series, revenge is a justified pleasure…

Isla made one teeny little mistake. Now she and her PI company, Dirty Exes, are being targeted by one seriously angry and furiously sexy ex-quarterback. Jessie freakin’ Beckett. But there’s no way some NFL superhunk is going to take her business away. If only he didn’t make her so hot—and bothered.

Jessie wants payback for a ruined reputation. His plan? Top secret. His hard-to-hide arousal for Isla? Not so much. Especially when they let down their guards and sneak a kiss. Like any juicy scandal, it goes so viral, so fast, that only a good lie can combat the bad press. Mortal enemies in a fling? No way. Um…this is love!

Actually…could it be?

Isla’s not faking it. Jessie can’t. As the game of let’s pretend gets real, Jessie forgets all about revenge. That’s the problem. His plan is already out of his control. Now it could undo everything they’ve been trying to build. Coming clean may be the only thing that can save it.

I loved the quirky characters and the sense of humor involved in the character shenanigans. The drama that unfolds in this follow up to Dirty Exes is fun and makes the sweet, romantic moments stand out. I recommend Dangerous Exes for fans of Nicola Rendell and Tara Brown! *ARC provided in consideration for review*

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading other books by this great author.

The world Rachel Van Dyken has created in Dangerous Exes is one I never wanted to leave. He has one target. Destroy her at all costs. Only things never go as planned. Especially when one has to lie to keep their cover. Throw in a meddling family members and you've got either a perfect match or disaster in the making. I loved that I laughed out loud during this read. I nearly cried too, when things didn't go their way. I fell in love with the characters and I never wanted the story to end. This is a stand alone story that could be read on it's own, but better enjoyed if you read book one. Then you will get the backstory for this fantastic couple!

Dangerous Exes by Rachel Van Dyken is the second book in her latest series, Liars, Inc., . A spin-off set in the same world as her Wingmen, Inc., series, this is the story of two scorned women who have taken the dregs they were dealt in their past relationships and turned into a goldmine business that specializes in proving (or dis-proving) the infidelity of a loved one. The two creators Isla and Blaire are bombshell, take no crap women. Isla is the target of Jessie Beckett's wrath. Initially, he was a target for their company. Hired by his now ex-wife to try and prove he was unfaithful turns out she was the one cheating and was using Isla & Blair's business to try and screw him over. But Jessie is a stickler for public image and his crazy ex is running his name through the mud and he blames Isla. Stuck between a rock and a hard place Jessie & Isla get talked into being in a fake romance by their two best friends, Colin and Blaire. It was a bad idea that just keeps getting worse as time goes on. Add in a crazy Goo-Poh grandmother of Isla's and that public image is really taking one for the team. Quirky, well-written, well-paced, angsty and emotional and sexy. Loved it - RVD is one of my must-read authors and this book did NOT disappoint. Enjoy!

This is the second book in series, and I love Rachel.. This is Isla's book she was the second partner in the PI firm Dirty Exes. I really hope you read the first book, Dirty Exes you will need it in order to understand the story line. In the first book we had met Jason he was Blaire's (other partner in firm) ex boyfriend from years ago, the one that got away. Blaire and Isla were hired by Jason's ex wife to catch him cheating.-go read first book. In this story Jason is on a mission to destroy Dirty Exes because he feels they destroyed his life, which I was a little upset about because it was his ex-wife Vanessa that was the culprit in all the things, she was really horrible, anywho so he is out to get them, mainly focusing all of his anger on Isla, he feels that Blaire will be ok because now she is has Colin. So Isla and Jessie have a war going on and as they start a fake relationship, it changes except he did something he shouldn't have and it can come crashing down on him..Bad Jessie..Anywho it was funny and something that you just needed at right time..I was so happy to have Blaire and Collin again, I just love him.

There can’t be many book boyfriends who get to be the lead in two seperate books with two different women. In fact, Jessie Beckett, ex-NFL star and man with a huge chip on his shoulder is the only one I’ve ever come across. He was Blaire’s pretend love interest in Dirty Exes, and no, he’s here, being the man that Isla is having to fight to keep her PI business alive. Jessie has a reason for his anger, after all, things didn’t end well for him in the previous book, and not just because he lost the girl. He lost everything or was on the way to doing so. Now, he’s out for revenge and Isla is his target. But, somehow, that gets twisted and turned around and now? He’s in a fake relationship with her. Pretend love. Pretend engagement… pretend forever after. Sometimes we even pretend to hate someone when really… well, Jessie is about to find out. His life is black and white, and Isla is going to dash color all over it. It’s hard to believe, but I loved Jessie in this book more than the last, he got to show his true colors this time, but he’s packing a lot of emotional trauma still thanks to his ex-wife, Vanessa. Isla, too, has some baggage that’s left her a scarred and scared to trust a man. But, when these two are alone in a room, it’s not long before the chemistry wins and the sexual tension gets strung higher and higher. Can they put all the bad stuff to bed and make a real life together or will it all disappear in a puff of smoke. This was a hot, sexy story, with great characters, it was nice catching up with Blaire and Colin again and let’s all give a warm welcome to Goo-Poh, she was just about the craziest person in there.

Another fun book by Rachel Van Dyken. This is the second book in the Liars, Inc series. I started with this book and now need to go read Dirty Exes. This is a stand alone and I can attest that you do not have to read the first book to follow the story. This is the story of Jessi and Isla and how they are trying to save their reputations based on the fall out from Dirty Exes. It was sweet and funny and I loved Isla’s crazy aunt. This book reminded me of the Wingman Inc series- so if you enjoyed those, you will like this book.

3.75 stars--DANGEROUS EXES is the second instalment in Rachel Van Dyken’s contemporary, adult LIARS, INC erotic, romance series focusing on the owners of the PI company Dirty Exes tasked with exposing cheating husbands and wives. This is co-owner Isla Turner, and NFL quarterback Jessie Beckett’s story line. DANGEROUS EXES can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one- DIRTY EXES-for back story and cohesion where we are first introduced to Jessie Beckett, and his story begins. Told from dual first person perspectives (Jessie and Isla) DANGEROUS EXES follows the acrimonious relationship between Isla Turner, and NFL quarterback Jessie Beckett. In book one-Dirty Exes-Jessie became the target of Dirty Exes PI, when his wife hired the PI firm to set up our hero in the hopes of trapping Jessie in a compromising position. With his career, personal life and reputation shattered, Jessie Beckett is seeking revenge against Dirty Exes, revenge that will cost him more than he could have imagined. What ensues is the building but tempestuous enemies to lovers relationship between Jessie and Isla, and the potential fall-out as Jessie is unable to stop the forward momentum of the plans set into motion, plans of which he no longer has control; plans that are about to destroy the woman he loves. Jessie Beckett was framed and set up by his ex-wife and Dirty Exes. Taking matters into his own hand, Jessie sets into motion a well-orchestrated plan to take down and ruin Dirty Exes, but falling in love with Isla Turner was never on the agenda. Isla Turner had no idea the repercussion of their PI investigation would destroy an innocent man but proving otherwise finds Isla in a fake relationship with the man in question, in order to further prevent more ongoing damage. The relationship between Jessie and Isla is acrimonious at best. Jessie blames Dirty Exes for the destruction of his personal and private life including the loss of sponsorship, and the lies that continue to perpetuate and grow. Isla struggles in the face of her attraction to Jessie but our heroine is going to have to put on her ‘big girl panties’ in an effort to put a positive spin on their continuing battle. The $ex scenes are seductive, passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. The colorful secondary and supporting characters include the return of Isla’s business partner Blaire, and Jessie’s best friend Colin Buchanon (Dirty Exes #1) ; Jessie’s ex wife Vanessa, and Isla’s ex-fiance, up and coming Hollywood director Wayne Alvillar; and Isla’s hilarious grandmother Goo-Poh. The world building focuses on the turbulent relationship and subsequent ‘fake fiance’ fiasco between Jessie and Isla. A little darker than book one –Dirty Exes- there is plenty of back and forth, deep seething hatred between our leading couple-hatred masked by the palpable sexual attraction that is hard to ignore. DANGEROUS EXES is a story of betrayal, revenge, secrets and lies. The premise is entertaining, engaging and engrossing; the characters are feisty, sassy and spirited; the romance is edgy and intimate. DANGEROUS EXES is an energetic look at second chances, of a sort, for two people betrayed by love and broken hearts.

All right romcom lovers, Dangerous Exes is the type of book you live for! This is the second book in Rachel’s Liars, Inc. series, but as most of her books can be, it can be read as a standalone title. Honestly! However, Dirty Exes delivers all the fun, and I highly recommend that book, as well. Isla made this little mistake that may or may not have cost Jessie his time in the spotlight as a golden boy. It was an honest mistake...so why is he trying to ruin her now? If he ruins her business, it ruins his best friend’s girl’s business, too, because Blair is her business partner. It doesn’t make sense. But revenge never really makes sense, does it? There’s a fine line between love and hate. Which side will Jessie and Isla fall on? Rachel’s ability to infuse just the right amount of angst and deep thoughts into a hilarious story is what won me over as a reader and fan several years ago. Oh, and the sarcasm! And this book for sure delivers all of that. Fans of The Consequence series will see almost a scary resemblance to Max in Isla’s great aunt, too! Dangerous Exes has the perfect mix of lovable characters...and those you’ll love to hate. NICUnurse’s Rating: With a combination of hijinks, subterfuge, sarcasm, and steamy scenes, this book takes you on a wild ride that will entertain, make you swoon, and make you fall in love. (And stay up way too late because you can’t stop reading––not that I speak from experience or anything!) I’m giving this book a solid 5 stars!

5 Stars Review by Lisa Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog When I finished reading Dirty Exes, I was left with a book hangover wanting more. Ms. Van Dyken did not disappoint with this second installment into the Liars, Inc. series. What a ride she takes us on this time. From the emotional upheaval to the fun banter to the aunt that everyone wants!!!! This story starts where book 1 left off with Isla and Jessie. Things were looking good in Dirty Exes but what happens in Dangerous Exes not so much. Isla makes one mistake and Jessie is out to destroy her and her company. But, Isla will fight for what is hers and what she has become. Put these two in a room and the sparks of vengeance are not the only sparks flying. The chemistry between the characters is so strong you feel it. Although you can feel the characters emotional displacement and anguish, this story is still light and moves quickly. It makes such a great read. I loved reading every minute of this story. Don't forget we get sneak peaks of Blaire and Colin too.

Dangerous Exes by Rachel Van Dyken a five-star read you won’t want to leave. This is the second book in the Liar’s, Inc series and I do think they could be read as stand-alone but I would recommend you read Dirty Exes as you will want to go back and read it as you will adore all of the characters, but in this one I am betting you will adore Goo-Pah as she is just sublime!! She nearly made me leak laughing about chickens. Jessie Beckett could ruin my life any time he wants. But I will be the first to bow down and let Isla have him, if she wants him as she is his mortal enemy. This book has it all, drama, passion, humour and some of the best scenes ever written. I cant wait for the next book in the series, which ex will we see next?

Jesse Beckett has it out for the Dirty Exes PI company, they after-all partnered with his ex-wife and completely derailed his life. Now he plans on doing whatever he can to get revenge and make sure they have to shut their doors, even if it means playing nice with the enemy. But once he puts his plan in motion, and starts spending copious amounts of time spying on and butting heads with the owner he realizes he may have gotten himself into more trouble than he bargained for. Because their best friends are involved the two wind up spending time together whether they want to or not, and someone has just leaked information that they are involved... which is bad for business and his reputation!! Dangerous Exes brings readers back into the lives of former NFL quarterback Jesse Beckett and the women who shook up his carefully planned life. He is out for revenge and they are just trying to recover from the backlash his divorced caused, but in order to right all the wrongs, they may have to unite. And it brings on a whole new host of issues... and some unexpected sparks too! I loved reuniting with these characters and seeing Jesse charm the socks off the lady who captured his heart, that man is a master at weakening knees and bringing on the swoons! The moment I cracked the cover on this delectable little tale I was hooked, it was sweet, funny, steamy, and so good on my heart!! Highly recommend!! I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Dangerous Exes was such a good romance read. I finished this story in one sitting. There was never a dull moment in this story and these characters had me laughing out loud more than a few times, especially Goo-Poh. She was hilarious! I enjoyed Jessie and Isla characters a lot and there was undeniable chemistry between the two. The more they tried to resist and fight their attraction the more I loved them. However, it was even better once they let their walls down. The ending was sweet but I wish it was a little more satisfying. Don't get me wrong it was a good ending but I wish Goo-Poh would have gotten her second wish for Jessie and Isla. That would have made this story satisfying to me. I wanted that "family" However, I do look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.

I absolutely loved this series! Dangerous Exes is the story of Ilsa and Jessie, whom we met in Dirty Exes. Their chemistry is like a house on fire hot! As will all of Ms. Van Dyken's stories, she brings you into a world that is fantastic, smexy as all get out and funny. Ilsa is the the founding partner in the PI firm Dirty Exes. She has some scars from her past that make her excellent at her job. Almost too good! When she is hired by Jessie's ex in the first book, there is some animosity between the two of them. This is a true enemies to lovers story. Jessie is out for revenge, he is out for blood (even though he hates the color red). And he places the blame of his PR downfall squarely, even if unfairly on Ilsa's shoulders. He wants to make her pay! Ilsa and Jessie's back and forth sparing is such fantastic example of foreplay! When they finally come together it's epic! And you get to see Jessie and Ilsa as their true selves. I am just gonna say, their steamy moments...well whew, they are hot but they are also so sweet...there is a moment between them, and I am not gonna give it away but it may involve a shower, a hairbrush and a kiss on the forehead that just about made me melt into my lazy-boy! The secondary characters are phenomenal! Some are new, some are ones we have met before! I loved Goo-Poh and I wish I had my own! And what would a Ms. Van Dyken story be without a bit a twist that you will not see coming?!? It kept me guessing until the very end! I would highly suggest reading Dirty Exes before you read this. Even though this is a stand alone, I think you would get so much more out of this story if you read both! Fabulous story, phenomenal characters...who could ask for more?!?

Dangerous Exes is an enemies to lovers story. Jessie feels he has been burned by Isla and Isla feels like she is being blamed for something that wasn't her fault. These two start out breathing fire down each others necks but that doesn't hold up to the attraction they had been building before everything fell apart. I'm not sure this can be a standalone. This book started right back up where book 1 left off. We have the same characters, just a shift in main characters. We do get the added bonus of a new side character and very funny Goo-Poh, Isla's aunt. She had me laughing just as much as our main couple. This was a fun series and I recommend both books is you want a laugh! ARC provided by NetGalley.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title compliments of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review** I so enjoyed Dirty Exes, so I was very excited to see what was going to happen in the second book in the Liars, Inc. series, Dangerous Exes. Not that it comes as any surprise to me, but Rachel Van Dyken did not disappoint with this installment! The one thing I will say, is if you haven't read Dirty Exes, you're going to want to before diving into this one. Isla's mission in life is to expose men who are lying, cheating jerks. While that has worked for her for quite some time, one mistake leads to her having one very angry ex-NFL quarterback gunning for her and wanting to stop at nothing to destroy her business. Jessie's reputation has taken a hit based on everything that went down with his ex and the part that Isla played in all of that. There is nothing more that Jessie wants than to make Isla pay just like he has. But best laid plans don't always turn out as you expect. When things get complicated and it becomes clear that Isla and Jessie need to work together to save her company and his reputation. This is when things really get interesting - when they have to pretend to be a couple. As you can imagine much hilarity ensues and it is their quirks that make them more perfect for one another than anyone could have ever guessed! But in the end will they make a real go of it or will they be their stubborn selves and get in their own way? This was a really great read that made me laugh out loud several times. I LOVED Isla's Goo-pah! She was an absolute trip and she was worth the price of admission with all her food, the bed and the chickens! Kudos to RVD for another awesome book to add to her already amazing stable!

Dangerous Exes, by Rachel Van Dyken, is the second book in the Liars, Inc. series. As always, RVD did not disappoint me, I read the first book in this series and loved it. I would suggest that you read the first book in this series to fully enjoy Dangerous Exes, but it is not a must. RVD does a great job bringing the new reader to this series up to speed. Her writing style is hip and entertaining and her characters are delightful and amusing. Jessie and Isla were introduced to us in the first book and I was so thrilled to read their story. There was so much going on in this book, it kept me turning the pages as quickly as I could read them. Jessie feels he had been wronged by Elsa and is trying his best to exact revenge against her for the tiniest mistake she unwittingly made. He really is a good guy and soo hot, but his ex-wife really did a number on him, which caused him to be suspicious of women. I immediately fell in love with Isla, adorable, funny and a real fighter. I loved the peculiarities that each of them brought to the relationship, but somehow that made both of them more endearing. And lets not for get the total combustible attraction….they are HOT together. I will never look at a polish sausage or a baseball bat the same way. And let's not leave out Goo-Poh, she kept me laughing throughout the whole book. Everyone needs a Goo-Poh! So if you are looking for a book that will make you laugh one moment and the next moment fanning yourself look no further, you have found your next read. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. Happy reading. ***I kindly received an ARC of this book by way of NetGalley/publisher/author. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This is my honest review.***
