This anthology is full of thrilling and captivating stories. Among them is Delia Remington’s “The Doctor and the Lady” - its delightfully dark - a small look into the suspenseful start of one Mrs. Mary Shelley. Mimi Schweid’s “Mystick Tea” is positively bewitching - a whirlwind of a story of dark magic and betrayal. But what I also very much enjoyed about it was the exquisite depiction healthy caring relationship between two characters that showed just how far we are willing to go for the ones we love. Even those who wouldn’t call themselves horror or supernatural readers would enjoy.

After hearing the backstory of the Dark Conjurings Anthology, I rushed to pick this series up. I was inspired to hear that these writers connected through social media and used their love for storytelling to create an anthology together. My favorite from the bunch being “Mystick Tea” by Mimi Schweid. The story opens up in the middle of a conversation between girlfriends, Krysten and Veronica, and straight away Mimi allows us to become invested into these two characters. Their love is the heart of the story and is used beautifully to help ground us into this magical world. If you want to support up-and-coming writers be sure to buy this book!
