Aden Knight has lived a charmed life. But when he sneaks out of his house for a night of reckless abandon at a Halloween party, he comes face to face with the horror he missed out on one year ago.
Now a vampire, Aden must decide which world he belongs in, and if being human means letting go of the family he lost, or trying to reclaim the life that was taken from him.
This short story takes place two years before the events of The Scarlet Dagger, allowing readers an inside glimpse of the mysterious Aden Knight.
