I got the first one on Tuesday and by Thursday i read the complete trilogy. The Named: 4.5/5 Very good. It really pulls you in. The Prologue is semi-creepy but it doesn't get like that again. The Dark 4/5 Not my favorite. Its a little musy but it's still really good. Its 2/3 action 1/3 romance. The ending is very good. The Key 4.75/5 My favorite. I loved the point of view from 2 people who feel a little left out. The ending wasn't what I thought would happen. I was so surprised. The Trilogy: 4.25/5 Its a little dramatic but it brings you in.

To enjoy these novels requires the ability to ignore the writing. The books are guilty pleasures because, when one reads with a discerning mind, you cringe at the writing which seems as if it was penned by a high school student. That being said, its hard not to get hooked on this light action adventure with such interesting characters as Arkarian, son of an immortal who's six hundred years old but stopped aging at the age of 18. Light, angsty, soap opera style romances between the characthers can't help but pull you in. Even though the books sometimes seem like they skim over topics that could've been more deeply delved into, you can't help getting hooked on this series.

OK I have to say I think there could have been a longer ending. I mean I LOVED how it turned out but I wish they could have had more detail on how things went afterwards. The characters were amazing! There was always a huge suprize in every chapter. I loved the first one but the second one is just unbelievable. cant wait till i get the third one!
