Overview

The people of Earth are losing a war with aliens that they themselves provoked. Everyone is being called up to fight, even prisoners; those who refuse are threatened with dismemberment to provide spare parts for wounded soldiers. He attended the 1973 Clarion West science fiction writing workshop and is a member of Science Fiction Writers of America.
