Tourists, locals, and immigrants are disappearing in the province of Malaga. The victims' common denominators are youth and looks. A kidnapping presents veteran detective Leon Prado with a chance for an arrest, but he makes a serious error of judgment, and it all goes wrong.
Amanda Salisbury, a single, workaholic American videographer, inadvertently films what appears to be the abduction of a beautiful English girl at the San Isidro Festival in Nerja. She shows the clip to Prado. Near the abduction scene, Prado recognizes Phillip Armitage, an emotionally confused British linguist he works with occasionally. The abducted girl turns out to be a friend of Phillip. Now the disappearances are personal. Together, the three lost souls find a new direction as their inquiries lead them around the breathtaking landscapes of Andalucia.
