I received this book for a honest review. Let me start by saying Ms. Collins is a phenomenal writer. Daughter of Hauk: The Raven Chronicles Book 1 is a fantastic read. I read it a second time to fully experience the adventure of her characters before writing the review. Even better the second time. You’re drawn you into a magical world of light and dark magic from page 1. The characters and story are full of richness. As the author weaves the story you’re right there with the characters. The book is written in such a charming way that Kate not only tells you and shows you with her words, you feel the story of the characters as well. If you’re a fan of Robert Jordan, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, J. R. Tolkien, Tad Williams, or Terry Brooks, you’ll definitely love Daughter of Hauk. Ms. Collins has once again captured my interest from the beginning. I can’t wait to read the continuation of this series.
This was a great story! Can't wait to read the rest of the series. I was hooked from the beginning, & it kept me going the whole way through. I'm anxious to see what's going to happen in the next book....Way to go KateMarie!
