This is an outstanding book for those amateurs that want to get serious about the Nikon D60 and digital photography. The operator's manual that comes with the camera uses black line diagrams, while Mr. Busch uses high quality large color photos of every angle of the camera. Along with the color photos he identifies with lines every feature of the camera, lenses and the LCD. Because the D60 is my first DSLR I intend to read this book from front to back.

Easier to use then the manual. Recommend to anyone new to this camera.

I now own three of David Busch's books and all are just wonderful. If he has written about your camera and you want to know more about that camera, you simply can not go wrong with a book penned by David Busch. His verbal detail is clear but he includes visuals that almost makes reading unnecessary. Though camera specific, this book has helped me to overcome photographic obstacles that are "built in," if you will, to this particular camera. He goes well beyond the camera in terms of helping one learn more about lighting and color. His guidance covers needs of photographers at all levels of mastery. David Busch is photographers' gift.

What a great book for those who purchased the Nikon D60 or are planning on buying it. This book describes and explains in an easy format all that stuff that your lengthy instruction manual tells you. Now there is no substitute for the original manual as you do need to know how to use the camera but this book will give you many insights and also explain a lot of the jargin that is in the OE manual.
