Overview

David King, a young Amish man from Pennsylvania, is now a student in Madison, Wisconsin. As he studies to be a veterinarian's assistant, the time away from loved ones and everything familiar, is a time of questioning his future.

His love for Kayla Evans, a college student from the English world back home, is strong; but will distance and time change his heart? Or hers?

Kayla has her own questions about their long-distance relationship. As she delves deeper into her new-found faith, she ponders her own prospects. Her parents have separated and her concern for her brother, Andy, draws her closer to him. Then after a short-term mission trip to Haiti, she finds herself questioning her future plans.

How will David and Kayla resolve their issues? Is love enough?

About the Author

My deepest roots are here in Pennsylvania, though I was born in New York State and lived in New Jersey and Connecticut for the first twenty years of my life. The beauty of Pennsylvania and the variation in the seasons and topography have gotten into my soul, and I hope to spend the rest of my life here.

Married over forty years to a very special man who loves me just the way I am, I’m also the mother of five adult children and grandmother to eight amazing kids.

I believe in Jesus Christ and pray for direction in my writing. Not all has been roses in my life. I had a divorce many years ago and know the pain of rejection. I've had illnesses, watched my children suffer, lost my parents, and known failure. Perhaps, for all these reasons, I feel a need to share through my writings. Perhaps a thought, a chapter, even a sentence might help a fellow human in some small way.
