Outstanding book. He really develops his characters well, especially Grant, Sherman,. Johnston, and Beauregard. I loved how he wove all the characters together, and especially how balanced his story is between the two sides. The story is extremely detailed, and it is obvious as to the research that was done to write it as historically accurate as it is, and still be a great story. If you really want to read a good novel about the Civil War, this is one you should read. I give it 5 stars!
