Not enough character development. Ine of her more mundane romance stories. Her novels build communities of relatioships. Shell Seekers is the best. Homecoming a little harder but good. AWinter Solstice a comfortable pastime of unlikely coincidences.

I have enjoyed all the books from Pilcher since I first read The Shell Seekers. I read this one on my NOOK, but it was still a page turner.

I always feel at home with Rosamunde Pilcher's books... I feel like I KNOW her characters.. and am always disappointed to finish reading each of her books.. I miss the characters when I start a new book no matter the author... I can only recommend her books if this is how you like to feel when you read a book... I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Pitcher's books are always a good read and this is no different. It always takes me a little while to get my arms around her characters since there are always so many and it's hard to see how they all fit together, but that's actually the beauty of her stories. I greatly enjoyed the book.

...much more than I did. Too much happened in a short space of time to make the plot even a little believable. I was uncomfortable with the love triangle which was more unbelievable than the plot. Very disappointed with a writer I previously enjoyed.

Interesting characters and plot but could certainly have been developed further. More a short story than a book. After "Shell Seekers" and "Coming Home" I was disappointed by this book.

Short but good. This is one book that I thought should be longer

I haven't read any of her books for many years. This is one I never came across before and I loved it. Makes me want to reread all the others.
