What’s a girl to do when her date is D.O.A?

Angharad ‘Harry’ Russo is just your ordinary twenty-something, with one exception - she’s a witch with an out of the ordinary gift. When her blind date goes sideways and she ends up face to face with a dead body, her life starts to go sideways too.

Harry soon finds herself right in the middle of the mayhem, dealing with Cian Nash, a homicide detective that is as aggravating as he is sexy; the biggest, baddest vampire in town; and a parcel of pesky zombies that keep popping up everywhere. It’s all connected to her date’s unfortunate demise, or is there more to it than meets the eye?

This is the first book in the Harry Russo Diaries. It is a stand-alone adventure with no cliffhanger. Intended for a mature audience.

What a delightful, funny & entertaining read! I loved the writing style, the humour, the paranormal creatures and I just adore Harry. I would love to have a night out with her and her flatmates - it would be anything but boring. If you are in the mood for light, laugh out loud, intriguing mystery with a little romance, then I highly recommend this book.

A great book. An easy to read adventure and one you want to keep reading. The world is well thought out. Things come at you as a reader in a good way. I recommend it.

This is the first book in a trilogy, but if the rest are as good as this one, I hope it becomes a series. Harry is a fun narrator. Despite the darker elements, the story is funny and light, without being silly or campy. Harry really can hold her own, despite being surrounded by alpha males. There is a bit of sexual tension that hopefully will develop into more in the next book. It's a stand alone story but there is a hook at the end that will leave you wanting more. I practically read it in one sitting, it was that good.

A nice way to pass the time. The story is a bit simple and needs to be fleshed out more but it kept my interest and is a quick read. I look forward to reading the second book in the series.

It was a good first start. It was pretty short, and didn't really world build. I get mad at some books with too much world building but I am more annoyed with books that hardly do any at all. This series has a lot of potential. I'm late starting this series, so I'm hoping the next books are this short or lacking. It had a few twists to keep me guessing but at times I wanted to smack Harry. Hoepfully, Barnes and Noble will finally post this review. They need to improve how they get reviews.
